There is some of the poetry I have written. Some I have had published. It is quite dark, since it has to do with the death of my daughter. When I write it, it helps to release some of the pain and rage, I feel.
What Were You Thinking Of?

What were you thinking of?
You were driving down the road, mind somewhere else.
You robbed me, robbed me most foul.
A thief that stole a life, a life I made.

Was it really worth the rush?
Can you ever forget?
I know I cannot, it is etched into my mind forever.
My child, lay bleeding in the road.

You will never feel the pain, that we must endure.
My other daughters nightmares,
the tears that never stop.
The mistake you made, just cost to much.

No proms,no wedding, no grandchildren,
we will have from her, you robbed us from our future,
it will be hard to forgive.
You should have looked and watched, but you didn't!
The pain of your stupidity, is to much to bare.

What were you thinking of, on that August day?
You hit my child, because of your carelessness.
I will mourn the rest of my life, my heart torn to shreads.
I just hope you never, feel the pain, that we have.
