I decided early on that I wanted my projector housing to be black, but I didn't thing I had enough flat black for the both of them, so I repainted them silver. After a couple of months had passed, I decided that I really wanted them black and I did have just enough black to paint the both of them.
Also make sure that you have enough room in the rear for your ballast to twist onto the bulb:
