Originating in Ithaca, NY some time ago, StickShift is waiting to take the world by storm. Waiting and waiting.... for that perfect moment. Comprised of Allan (Guitar), Barry (Bass) and Matt (Drums), StickShift plays a wide variety of styles, but mostly Rock or some variation.
First formed in around 1998, the band went through many line-ups and many name changes before settling on StickShift. The first incarnation of the band was made up of Allan, Barry, and a kid named Peter. Peter was on drums, Barry on guitar, and Allan on bass. From there, a guitar player named Chris signed on, and the instrument designation changed a bit. Barry moved to bass and Allan moved to guitar. Peter moved to Pennsylvania, and then Allan moved to drums. MYTH as the band was then known, played the Teen Center (now a tattoo parlor) as a trio. Allan was on the drums, Barry was on bass and Chris was on guitar. All went fairly well, until creative differences led to Chris' departure from the band. Matt joined on as drummer, and StickShift's sound developed. With inspirations coming from all over the musical spectrum, StickShift's sound is sure to please.
