SEE YOU AT THE POLE
Wednesday, September 15, 2004

Outside the KMS High School building at the flag pole, on this wet and rainy morning, students from around the area gathered to pray at approximately 7:15. The students gathered in a large group standing in a circle with just over 30 students. A few words of welcome and encouragement were given by one of the seniors and then began the task for which all had come. They prayed and read scripture. A student would read a verse and instruct the rest to pray. They then broke into small groups of about 8 to 10 students each.

Several areas of need were addressed and prayed for by the students. They began with prayer for the family and friends. Then moved on to their school, community, government, the election and government leaders, and concluded with prayer for the world and God's intervention for liberty and justice for all.

Shortly before 8 AM the group disbanded and headed of to their cars or into the building to dry off and get ready for class. By the time the students were done praying, there not less than 41 in attendance and the majority of which were quite soaked from the rain. In all there where at least 7 churches represented and students from each of the grades in the 7th-12.
