Introduction
Special Laws for Special People
Laws were passed for people with special needs to ensure that they had equal opportunities and rights as those with no disabilities. These laws when first passed allowed such education for those with disabilities, but it segregated them from their non-disabled peers. This was just the beginning, for many changes in the laws have occurred since. Many changes have been made to the laws giving people with special needs better opportunities within their education, employment, and social life.
