the day before kyden turned eight weeks he found his hand. jon had been trying to get him to suck on it for the past month, but i guess now he has more control over it himself. now instead of crying to tell me he's hungry, he sucks on his hand. and that's a MUCH better alternative.
i've also noticed that he drools a lot more. maybe it's a sign that he's putting his mouth to more use.
his smiles are now less elusive and he greets me with them every morning. along with more and more gurgles. he loves his activity mat now and is spending a few more minutes on his tummy. he still gets tired and frustrated rather quickly but he stays on it for a bit longer. he also loves staring at the brightly colored toys. no more overstimulation. whew! i was worried there for a second that it would end up being a wasted investment.
he's also a lot easier to go out with. before, if he was up, he was crying and hungry. now, he'll just cruise and look around.
i CANNOT believe he's been in my life for two whole months!
