guess who got new shoes today? yeah, okay. it was me. that wasn't even challenging at all.
ever since the beginning of the year jon has become really health-conscience. he quit smoking and has been smoke-free for almost four months now. he bought a bike and rides it eight miles to work. and he's always going on runs on his days off. we've also become more aware of what we eat and try to stock up on healthy snacks and lots and lots of fruits.
so what does that have to do with my new shoes? well, after the whole incident i had with the stairs, and feeling a little bit like a lazy-butt whenever jon goes off running and i stay home and watch tv, i've decided to start exercising as well. so for awhile now, jon and i have been looking for running shoes for me. and i finally found them. the puma sierra trail racer. and they're totally awesome. they're actually designed for cross-country so they're really lightweight and have incredible grip. they're the bestest pair of running shoes i've ever had.
for now, i'm focusing on tackling the twenty-seven flights of stairs. when we got home, jon and i went down the stairs and then came back up. going down was pretty easy. but then again, it was pretty easy the first time i did it as well. going up was pretty good too. not as bad as i thought. but still really hard. i can only run to the 5th floor and then i have to slow down. i tried taking it a bit easy and started taking two steps at a time. but that only got me to the 15th floor. after that i was breathing hard and struggled my way up the last twelve flights. soon i want to start doing pilates.
so i haven't even gotten something from the spring line and he's already coming out with a summer collection. of course i'm talking about simone legno's tokidoki for lesportsac. i never got around to writing about how excited i was of tokidoki and lesportsac's collaboration. but believe me i was VERY VERY excited. simone legno is one of my most favoritest artists. the other, of course, being shag.
