i *finally* went to the doctor's today, after a month of being sick. i've been feeling okay for the latter half of last week, not 100%, since i still had my cough and some slight body aches, but definitely the best i've felt yet. jon and i went out with iris guys saturday night. i took a lot of pictures with my new camera, but i deleted a lot of them too, ending the night with only one good picture.
i took a turn for the worse sunday morning. i woke up easter sunday with a fever of 101.4�, argued with jon about whether or not i should go to easter service, took some tylenol, went to new hope's service, came back home and slept the entire day. i stayed home from school yesterday, too. curled up in my bed battling chills and a 102� fever. i haven't eaten a thing since easter morning.
am i completely stupid for waiting so long to go to the doctor's? probably. but i was hoping that the body aches and the coughs go away, just like all the other flus i had this semester did.
i thought it would be a quick visit. i thought i'd be diagnosed with an ordinary, albeit neglected, flu, given some antibiotics, and sent hon my way. but the doctor doesn't know what's wrong with me. he said that it's unusual for such a high fever to appear a month after the start of the sickness. i can't say whether or not it's always been there, i've never really taken my temperature until recently. for the first three weeks, i didn't feel feverish. i just had body aches and a cough. i have to go in for chest x-rays and blood tests later today and i'll get my results back by thursday.
what sucks is that i didn't take any tylenol this morning, thinking the doctor would give me something for my flu, but since he doesn't know what's wrong, he couldn't prescribe anything to me, so i'm stuck in school right now feeling all achy.
the best part about being sick though, was that sumi-cat checked in on me a few times last night and even slept with me in the bed a couple of times. i felt bad though, since one of those times she was lying on my chest and i kept coughing.
