my mommy came in yesterday. :) she flew into la from nh to meet up with her sister and then they flew into hawai'i together. they'll be staying until friday. i really haven't seen my mommy for over a year now, not since i went to nh a couple of summers ago. that seems so long ago. i should post my pictures of that trip. as soon as i have time, i'll get them up as soon as possible.

*sigh* i can't wait until i can visit her and dad up in nh again. it's so beautiful up there. i went around the ending of the summer. i think that's the best time because it's not so cold. they're in the process of building their house right now. it must be so great to actually design your own house and then have it built. i wonder what they're going to do with all the land they have now. while we were living in kona all we had was a half-acre lot. now they have eighteen acres. maybe they'll have a farm. i definitely want to hang out by the river ... well, i guess it's more of a stream by the time it reaches their land. everything there seems so disconnected from everything else. like it's own little world. i love just sitting on the trees and watching the animals go about their business. i am *such* a nature girl.

what surprised me the most was how new englandishy the town my parents lived in is. it's such a small town that you pretty much know everyone. they have their little general and antique stores, their little country fairs with cooking and pig calling contests. i swear it's right out of the movies.

owari.
