i think hema and i must be the best toga-makers ever. we kicked those sheets asses, very quickly, i might add. and i'd say we have a lot of courage for walking past the frats in togas! |
george and i were going to try for a "sexiest pledges" award, but we couldn't find enough saran wrap to construct togas. :(
i dont think we did too bad a job though, all considered. :) |

the newly elected executive board includes brooke felton, emily gibbs, deanna alvaro, simon goetze, ryan costello, and perhaps most importantly, mark skidmore, our newly elected president. another amazing apo tradition includes the annual induction of the president through a caking on the steps of the mountainlair.
in the first photo, outgoing president mike butler readies the punishment... he's got a stolen gavel to avenge.
second, mark gets a real taste of the presidency.
mark is under that mask somewhere in the third picture, i swear - he needed some help from jed to remove the icing, but i'll let you all guess how.

service projects? yea, we got those!
danielle, jeanette, rj, jill and i get our creative juices flowing to make some banners for the special olympics. (yes, i was there. i'm not in the pictures, but someone had to hold the camera, you know.) we got a little too creative with the tape measure, but for the most part we did a lot of painting and had a lot of fun doing it, too. painting can be quite therapeutic.
what? you want to see more service projects? fine, look at our relay for life car wash in action!

we started out with some nice, normal-sized vehicles. howie, hema, mike, sekhar, emily, ashlie and i had everything under control, and emily was waving them in in hordes with our spiffy signs.
then we were challenged.
we were not about to give in to adversity, so mike and i got creative. you say you've never washed a huge delivery truck before? well, neither had we, but i'd say we got the job done nicely, the only casualty being mike's hat, which got dripped on a bit.
all in all over a few hours we raised a lot of money that day for our relay for life team.
what else did we gain? well, i learned a lot about balance. ::nods:: on a nice note, we found that literally no job is too big when we work together. mike also learned the hard way that when provoked, i can indeed be pretty evil. i hope your clothes have dried out, mike. :P
herein follows some general mayhem.
toby teaches RJ the correct way to do the time warp.. hmm, looks like he needs some work on bringing his knees in tight...

it's ok, rj, you can follow these directions:

now once more, all together!

who says pledges are the innocent ones, here?
|
rob's toga is rather unique, but we appreciated it.

this is my small but infinitely wonderful APO family, minus my big, who left early. :(
|

dancing, APO banquet style.
|
oh, the lengths our brothers go to in order to tell stupid jokes.
