Below are a selection of Australian newspaper clippings and death notices in which members of the Kercher family appear. I express my gratitude to the late Marion Mackay for sending me these.
WEDDING
KERCHER-SUTHERLAND

Mr Percy Kercher (ex-AIF) son of Mr and Mrs E J Kercher, of Ruby Street, Goulburn, was married on Tuesday evening in St Andrew's Presbyterian Church by the REv G Tulloch to Miss Jean Sutherland, daughter of Mr and Mrs G Sutherland, of Glasgow. The bride, who was given away by Mr W R McLean, wore silk collenne, trimmed with fringe, a wreath and veil completing the costume. Ms Myree Kercher was bridesmaid, and wore a cream coat and skirt, with black hat. Mr S Kercher (ex-AIF) was best man. The bridegroom's present to the bride was a gold pendant, set with pearls. The bride presented the bridegroom with a silver cigarette case. The reception was held at the Joppa Tea Room,s the Rev Mr Tulloch presiding. Subsequently the newly-married couple left for Sydney and Katoomba, for the honeymoon, the bride travelling in a fawn gabardine coat and skirt, with white velvet hat, with ostrich feathers. There was a nice collection of presents, including numerous cheques. Mr and Mrs Kercher intend residing in Goulburn.
Death

Mrs Kercher, widow of the late Mr Charles Kercher, died at her residence, George Street, yesterday morning after a lengthy illness caused by dropsy and heart disease. Deceased, who was about 68 years of age, had lived in Goulburn for some forty years, and was much respected. She was of most industrious habits. Deceased was the mother of Messrs Charles, Arthur, Alfred, Edward, and Edwin Kercher, all well known in the city. The remains will be interred in Tiranna cemetery beside those of her late husband, who died many years ago.

In the Will of MARY KERCHER, late of Goulburn, in the Colony of New South Wales, Widow, Deceased.

Application will be made after 14 days that probate of the will of the abovenamed deceased be granted to CHARLES, ALFRED HENRY, and EDWIN GEORGE KERCHER, the executors named therein, and all notices may be served at the offices of the undersigned.

This bandstand in Belmore Park, Goulburn, is where my grandfather used to play in a brass band.  He played cornet.
