28 December 01 Doctors appointment today. I get to stop the Timoptic drops which glue my eye lashes together, because my eye pressure is low enough that I shouldn't have a problem with the transplant. I am now only taking prednisone steroid drops every 3 hours. These help with rejection and make certain that my new cornea is not rejected. The Doctor had to pick some eye mucus out of one of the stitches which was not at all comfortable but other than that everything is ok. I still have double or sometimes quadruple vision in that eye but according to the doctor that is ok for 10 days after. I will not be getting glasses as I thought because the Dr. doesn't think my right eye could be corrected for with glasses. So I will be a one contact/ one eyed fool for a while. |
