Preparation
- Prepare caramel :
Heat 4 teaspoons sugar in a small metal cup, keep stirring till
it becomes golden brown in color. Remove from heat, add 1/4 cup
of water, and mix well.
- Mix the milk, eggs and remaining sugar very well. Add the
vanilla essense.
- In a deep bottomed vessel, boil water.
- In a bowl pour in the caramel first, and then the milk mix
over it. Cover the bowl tightly, so that no water gets in. Double
boil in the boiling water, for 30 minutes. Shift into another
bowl when cooled.
- Serve with custard (optional) Very good as a dessert !
