Green Daal (Parippu Curry)

Preparation
- Cook dal till soft, with water.
- Grind turmeric powder, grated coconut, and cumin seed, to fine paste.
- Add the ground paste, and salt into the dal and boil. Simmer till it assimilates, adding little water if it gets too thick. Remove from heat.
- In a small pan heat a tablespoon of oil, put some mustard seeds, when they start sputtering, add red chilli, and the curry leaves, fry them, and them pour over the dal.
- Serve hot rice.
