Though there is not a single fool to watch and
admire this 'tamasha', our Oppositions MLAs are
entertaining themselves over the one month old
strike, while a majority of the population is
struggling over the strike imposed upon them! ¥Ø¢ÌïßæÏ ºLÏÞAß

Though CPM has been the main sponsor of NGO
strikes in Kerala in the last 30 years, now fearing
backlash from the masses at the next ballot, the party
has changed its tone in the middle of the current strike
(which it wholeheartedly supported and justified) and has
decided to take backseat !

CPM not to sponsor
staff strike: Pinarayi Vijayan Kaumudi Online News 19.2.2002
KANNUR: The
newly re-relected CPM state secretary Pinarayi Vijayan
has made it clear that the party would not take on the
the leadership of the staff strike. But at the same time,
the party has given its full support to the service
organisations. Earlier the party, which had sent
directive to all its branches to take active part in the
strike, said the chief minister is playing a dangerous
game. This divide and rule policy would prove disastrous
for the state. Antony is foolish to think that he can
suppress employees by using draconian laws like ESMA,
said Pinarayi.
