The slyest, foxiest, and (dare I say it) realistic character in Love Hina. If there had been more chapters revolving around her, Love Hina would've been very interesting ^^.

Mitsune, though the series rarely addresses her by her first name, definitely earns her nickname Kitsune, literally meaning "fox". Her facial characteristics (specifically the eyes) and her personality says it all.

Speaking of her personality, she pretty much is a "fox". She typically gets involved in other people's business, specifically Naru's and Keitaro's. Sometimes with the help of Su, who is equally mischevious. Kitsune also flaunts her body around to get what she wants (i.e. placing Keitaro's hand on her boob ^^).

Although she has a freelance writing job, she's never seen doing work throughout the entire series. She's usually either getting drunk, gambling on horse races, or plotting something troublesome.

Despite her being the chief troublemaker (next to Su ^^), she's a very good friend of Naru and eventually Keitaro. In each scenario she's in, she tries out of kindness (or perhaps another hidden agenda ^^) to help Keitaro and Naru get together. This actually causes more trouble, however.

Editor's Opinions: Kitsune is more of a support character than an actual main character in Love Hina. Even chapters with her in the limelight are plotted around other characters, especially Keitaro and Naru. To summarize, she is the least developed and least focused on character in the series. I really like her Japanese voice (she portrays her very well), but her English voice is THE WORST. You'll know exactly what I mean when you watch the dub version.

    Differences in anime version:

    • Kitsune's hair is a bit shorter. This tends to sometimes make her look a bit masculine from the neck up ;(
