Out-Of-This-World-Poetry
If I Were In Charge of This World
The world would be an orchestra
Every person would play his own instrument
Each instrument different than the next
Yet, everyone would be satisfied
       with their own special instrument
There would be no conductor
Conductors think they control eveything
No, everyone would have to listen
to the person next to him
        and around him
To stay in rhythm
Who cares what or who created you
You don't need to waste time searching
Just be happy to be in the band
There are no qualifications for this choir
No, it is open to all
No one can get kicked out
Because only a conductor could do that
But there are no conductors
         so you see it now
Equal flesh and blood working together
To accomplish the song
Once it all comes together
The music will be more beautiful
Than any human on this earth could fathom
Yes...the world as an orchestra.

ESCAPE:  Living in a world of black and white, i move toward the window to sneak into the gray area only to find the window is stuck. -Jeff Triebsch
My Fake Smile
When I look at you and the race of emotions begin, just know that a spoonfull of distilled hatred is easier to swallow with sugar.   . - Woody
I surround myself with imagination and fantasy.  Actors playing characters directed by the people I envy.  I want to create that perfectly controlled world and be one of those gifted few whose name appears in bold, white lettering at the conclusion of the film.

daydreaming
i wake to find my thoughts
not in reality,
but in a time where they will
never be true.

it's just one of those days...
i've gone and smeared my
heart all over the walls and could care less about wiping it off.

Happiness
Fumbling around for instructions that are hidden only in my mind, I'm going crazy by myself--searching endlessly for an answer I don't even want to read.

Reconsidering Life
I sit here with my legs dangling on the edge of despair.
my world is turned upside down and with every bad turn of events.
I inch closer to the fate I fear and fight so hard against.

Teardrop Alley.......................
purgatory does exist, but
it is not a fiery cloud suspended between extremes
it's where blue collars are stained by black coal
where hard mothers scrub the pain out of handed down jeans
and children don't dream because they don't have the time
and the ony rapture can be found inside an ancient book
that describes worlds never seen by those in teardrop alley

The Hallway:
a prison I must endure
five minutes that seem an
eternity
as i collide with careless bodies
and disregard brutal tongues.
retreating into stalls
only ruins my hpe for solace
as I stare upon the destruction
of my own identity through fallacious graffiti.
the classroom-a home for my thoughts and a rest from intolerable ignorance.
