Well we finally got the page up and running again. Thanks to me, your goddess Kemi. We lost the old page and the old editions of Punch Drunk! when everything crashed, so this has been a rebuidling from scratch. We still have a few more biolinks to add and a few more nicky nack type of things to put on all of the pages but for the most part I think we're good to go!
So...without further ado....let's get to the news of what's been going on around Keoki's.
A few members of the Krew just got back from a road trip to South Carolina. Keoki, Phoenix, Kat, Kemi and Licker all piled in the company car and trekked through the mountains to end up at Lightning and Rose's house in Gaffney, SC. Lightning is Phoenix's older brother and Rose is his wife. We got there pretty late at night and woke up Lightning. He had no idea we were coming! That was fun. So the next morning we woke up and Licker and I had the pleasure of meeting Panther, Lightning's friend of 14 years, who is QUITE the stud muffin if I do say so myself. So after I cleaned the drool...we went outlet shopping and on the way passed the giant peach in Gaffney. For those of you who don't know, Gaffney's water tower is shaped like a giant peach with the crease facing the highway...so it looks like a large ass. So when we got to the Ass Peach (aka Peach Butt) Licker licked it. And some pictures were taken....hopefully they'll be on here very soon! That night we all went and watched Lightning and Panther play slow-pitch softball....and we saw a WILD TURKEY. Yes, it's more than just a breakfast drink! We spent the evening playing Phase 10 (card game) and drinking with the afore mentioned ball players. A great night was had by all.
The next day we trekked to Greenville, SC, to see more of Pheonix's family. The children were screaming when we tried to sleep. Pheonix rolled over and said, "They're starting early" and evidently I responded with "Oh hell no, what is that!?" We cruised their local college scene...which is better than most, I might add....and found that their fountain had been stricken with "All you base are belong to us".. There was much rejoicing. More shopping insued. But alas, we had to depart for our home. every state line we crossed was another shed tear. But all members returned home safe and unharmed.
Also in Krew news, Kat got a new perch over the door. Her plushy purple pillow hangs over our entrance. Beware as you enter and run as you leave...she's armed and dangerous!
We got a postcard from the prodigal Kalikikopa today. He's still doing his thing...roaming the continent and gigging wiht some blues bands in the bread basket of the US. He sends his regards and love to those that get it.
Licker will be holding a contest this Friday night--yes, the original--Can YOU Lick Her Blue? It's $1 per play and all the proceeds go to the National Endowment for the Arts.
The Krew has also initiated a new practice for Sunday nights....The Movie Quote Off. We'll line up the Krew, and then a team of patrons will quiz them with movie lines. Sounds simple but we're going to leave the rest as a surprise! (Can't spoil EVERYTHING on this page now can I?)
We've also just invited our dear friends Aerosmith to stop by as they kick off their American "Just Push Play" tour. I am quite upset with our friends right now--after the Super Bowl and raising ticket prices--but I will take it out on them at the table. (Tom, your ass is grass, baby!) So sometime in late June or July they should be popping by for a couple nights.
And, it's unofficial BUT, we may have just gotten permission from George Lucas to start screening the Holy Trilogy during Saturday Night Sabre Fights. (Kat's REALLY happy about that one.)
Well, kids. That's all I've got now. Someone else may post some more happenings (as that's been known to happen). I've gotta run. Things to do and people to see.
