If you like shoujo anime, then this is the heroine series for you.

Info:
2003 Six episode series, released with only one episode per DVD.  Yeah, expensive T_T.  By Tsuburaya productions, also known for their work in stuff like Ultraman and other special effect shows.  (I think they've also helped out in Vanny and Rosetta, don't know for sure though)

Short Rant:

3 high school girls who call themselves the Sunset Detective Club.  With most Japanese series being about sex or violence, this series is good clean shoujo-esque fun.  As you can guess, with 6 episodes each episode is it's own self contained story.  There's no beginning or end really, but each of the stories is fun on their own (especially in the middle).  Finally, the girls are all so cute!

Story:
Riko, Ayumi, and Jun are 3 normal school girls.  However they get themselves involved in a new adventure in every episode.  When things get in a jam, Riko transforms into her secret identity, the masked heroine Otasuke Girl!  Otasuke Girl uses traditional martial arts to punch and kick her enemies into repenting.

Important People:

Riko:
Played by ?? Riko

The "main character", she's smart and cute.  When in a pinch, she transforms into Otasuke Girl!

Ayumi:
Played by Akiyama Rina

You may recognize her from Kamen Rider Agito.  More mature and with longer hair than before, she portrays Ayumi as the serious type/straight man character.

Jun:
Played by ?? from i-chips

She's one of the singers in i-chips which do the opening/ending song.

This girl is so cute both on and off camera.  Her character is wacky and silly, and cute!

Bad:
If you're not a shoujo fan, this series might not be very exciting for you.  However, the everyday life kind of story is exactly why I loved this series so much

Good:
Fight scenes, excellent for a girl!  She uses martial arts to beat up her enemies, literally!

The girls = cute and funny!

If you want a good clean story where the good guy always wins then this is the one for you.

Bonus:
Each original DVD came with a Making Of section and a Commentary section.  Each of these are included and subbed
