The dramatic retelling of Gon, Killua, and Kurapica's clash against the Spider Ryodan gang. I hated the anime version of this, but somehow using live people and making it a play format really works. The raw emotion of the actors are conveyed just a lot better when you can see their expressions. It's one of HxH's darker stories, but it's really good, and of course lives up to the HxH level of quality.

One thing I love about this story is the ambiguious morals which make it seem more realistic. The bad guys do villanous things, yet they exhibit qualities of friendship, loyalty, honor, etc. The good guys do the right thing, but their human weaknesses tempt them, and you get to see them grapple with their own morals.

The heroes are there, but the spotlight is truly on the Spider Ryodan gang. All the actors are convincing in the characters they portray, but Kuroro and Pakudona are especially good at tackling their complex roles. Kuroro is just badass.

Story:
Gon, Killua, and Kurapica versus the Spider Ryodan gang. What is the right thing to do? What is truly important? It is a clash of morals and beliefs! The Spider Ryodan gang prove how cool, how deep, troubled, and complex they are as their very characters are put to trial.

Bad:
It's not a musical! Too bad, I thought the singing and dancing in the other two were awesome.

Good:
Great characters and acting. It took an OVA that I hated and made it good. I mean, after watching this, I can see why so many people like the Spider gang. They do bad things, but they definitely succeed in winning your sympathy. Perhaps some are even likable XD
