Babadu (in Spanish) Brief translation by becn_4: Rob Marshall is going to begin the filming adaptation of "Memoirs of to geisha" Arthur Golden's novel was one of the two of 1997 (the other one is "Cold Mountain" by Charles Frazier) that passed over its literary environment to become unexpected best-sellers (both, also, were premieres). The version to the cinema, taken place by Steven Spielberg and with script of Akiva Goldsman ("A beautiful mind"),has the cast confirmed to begin to shot next Monday September 20th in Japan to move later to Los Angeles. The quartet main character forms it: Zhang Ziyi, Gong Li, Michelle Yeoh and Ken Watanabe. "Memoirs of to geisha", narrates the life of Nita Sayuri (Ziyi), supposedly the most important geisha in Japan of the years 30s and 40s. Their history starts up at the end of the years 20s when being an adolescent is sold byher father to a house of geishas of Kyoto. There her beauty will wake up the envy of the most popular geisha in the establishment, Hatsumono (Li); so she will try to escape and it will be welcomed by Mameha (Yeoh), the great rival of the first one. With her she will learn the arts of the occupation; she will become the admired in the whole country; she will know the love of her life (Watanabe), a rich one industrial; and it will confront the dramatic changes of Japan after the defeat in the Second World War. |
