Filming of 'Memoirs of a Geisha' starts
A 30 foot high flowering cherry tree is being built in the Huntington Library Museum, Pasadena, California. Parts of a cherry blossom festival.
Memoirs of a Geisha open casting call, finding fair skinned Asians, both male and female, all ages.

Ken in the Premiere of 'The Juon'

Brief translation:
Ken has been stayed in LA since August for the filming of Hollywood movie 'Sayuri' (Memoris of Geisha). He attended the premiere of 'The Juon' yesterday.
'The Juon' is a Hollywood film with the story from Japan. The actors are from US, however the director and the crew are Japanese. Ken is a famous Japanese actor in US now, and therefore being invited in the premiere in LA.
When Ken arrived, many people asked Ken to take pics and called him 'Ken'. Ken is very busy now, with a lot of work on hand. However he said, "Now the work comes one by one. It does not like a peak, but just want to do it one by one, and let it go on. And to keep on working hard on my work." He emphasized that he would like to work according to his own pace.
