Exposed as a racist liar in his own forum by visitors to his web site, the Kentucky S.I.P. Chairman's credibility was in shambles for the world to see. His solution? He pulled the plug on the forum and disposed of the evidence as quickly as possible.
BUT HE WASN'T QUITE FAST ENOUGH ...
Below are the details of a discussion between the Kentucky S.I.P. Chairman and a very discerning visitor named Colleen, copied directly from the Kentucky S.I.P. website before the plug got pulled. Note that the chairman eventually admits to consorting with friends of Louis Beam, perhaps revealing more than he intended about himself. His strange propensity for pretending to piety while hurling epithets is also rather laughable ... enough said, the following conversation will "speak" for itself (commentary in italics has been added).
COLLEEN (First Inquiry - Sunday, 9/2/01, 8:25 AM)
Yesterday the History Channel did a long special on the history of the KKK. Loius Beam was identified as a long time Klan leader and organizer of Klan paramilitary training camps. There is a link at your web site to his essays. Can you do an article at your web site ckarifyng whether you stand for the things he is involved in?
THE CHAIRMAN COMPLETELY IGNORES COLLEEN'S QUESTION.
THREE MONTHS LATER SHE POLITELY ASKS AGAIN ...
COLLEEN (Second Inquiry - Saturday, 1/12/02, 4:43 AM)
On your links page, under "other conservative links", you have "essays by Louis Beam". Is this the same Louis Beam who was a Grand Dragon in the KKK, and who has been associated with the Nazi Party in Louisiana, and with Aryan Nations? If it is the same person, maybe you shouls add an article to your website which clarifies your views on race.
THE CHAIRMAN AGAIN CHOOSES TO IGNORE COLLEEN'S QUESTION.
SHE WAITS FOR ANOTHER SIX MONTHS AND ASKS YET AGAIN ...
COLLEEN (Third Inquiry - Saturday, 6/29/02, 4:34 AM)
Sirs, I note you still have a link under "other Conservative sites" to Klan and Aryan Nations' Louis Beam essays. I think I saw an article that he was also in the Nazi Party in LA. Care to explain?
FINALLY, THE CHAIRMAN RESPONDS WITH A SMOKESCREEN & INSULTS ...
JOE GRESHAM - Chairman SIP/Ky (Monday, 7/1/02, 7:56 AM)
Ma'am, Your tactic of name calling which is so common among socialist liberals, is trivial but annoying. Mr. Beam IS a conservative, read his articles. He is also a man of moral conviction, this is my understanding from people who know him well. He has "suffered the slings and arrows", of outrageous attacks from over zealous government officials. He got "crossways" with them and they attacked him unmercifully. Some of the charges may be true, I don't know, but I have been informed that at least most of them are certainly total fabrications...he did his time and more than paid any debt to society, IF HE OWED ONE AT ALL! The very basis of Christianity is that we have all sinned and come short of the Glory of God, but Christ paid the debt for that sin, and God forgives us. I see no evidence of Naziism, or KKK involvement, I do see a man who is intelligent and loves his country, a man who is trying to help people see what he sees, that the government is totally out of control. Louis Beam is not on this website, his writings are, and I find them to be well written, informative and quite compelling. If you have a problem with that, I suggest you don't log onto our website, but at any rate, please refrain from trying to label someone with a name simply for the purpose of discreditting them. This sort of attack is very low down, read his writings, if you have genuine issues with his work, that's one thing, but just trashing someone is something else. I pray you're able to find some Christian charity in your vicious heart. God bless you and God bless Dixie! Joe Gresham
CROSSWAYS? ATTACKED? THE FELON WAS CONVICTED & JAILED.
COLLEEN CANNOT GET A STRAIGHT ANSWER FROM THIS BIGOT!
AT LEAST HE INCLUDED A LITTLE ARYAN "CHRISTIANITY" LESSON.
HER QUESTION STILL UNANSWERED, POOR COLLEEN MUST TRY AGAIN:
COLLEEN (Tuesday, 7/2/02, 5:39 AM)
Mr. Gresham...thanks for your response. I am neither a socialist nor a liberal. I am a southerner who supports southern groups and causes whenever and however I can. But not racist groups. My question about Louis Beam is a fair one. If Mr. Beam is a former grand dragon in the KKK, and if he is associated with Aryan Nations, and if he was part on the Nazi Party in LA, and if he organized Klan paramilitary training camps in Texas....well, if you "don't know", you should. You decribe Louis Beam as a "conservative". He was either associated with those hate groups, or he was/is not. Do you feel no obligation to let your members and visitors know your position on race? Do you support Beam's views on race?
SUBTERFUGE DIDN'T WORK. TIME FOR MORE TAP DANCING AND SMOKE:
JOE GRESHAM - Chairman SIP/Ky (Tuesday, 7/2/02, 10:16 AM)
This has gone beyond ridiculous.....Do you see "racist" materials on this website? I don't! I have friends who know Mr. Beam well and they tell me that he is exactly as I have said. Are his writings "racist" or offensive to you? They're not to me. This site and this organization are NOT RACIST...PERIOD! I will not condemn Mr. Beam for garbage that has been released by the socialist media in this country. If you truly are pro- Southern, that same media would label you or I "racist"...it's a popular tactic, but it doesn't make it true I like Mr. Beam's writings, and believe them to be accurate, that's why we have them linked to this site...it's not an endorsement of Mr. Beam or any of his past or present activities, real or imaginary. Enough said!
COLLEEN THROWS IN THE TOWEL, BUT HAS GOTTEN TO THE TRUTH.
HIS HUBRIS, IGNORANCE, BIGOTRY, AND ASSOCIATIONS ARE ON RECORD.
COLLEEN (Tuesday, 7/2/02, 10:36 AM) Mr. Gresham, If any of Mr. Beam's "activities", as I have described them, are "imaginary", please identify which ones. I think you have answered my questions, and I will not bother you further. Thank you.
