Conrail power sits in the yard at Jeffersonville Indiana on a warm March Day in 1993.
A Conrail transfer crosses the Ohio River into downtown Louisville. This bridge built by the PRR is one of the largest steel railroad bridges ever built. It is one mile long. March 1993.
A northbound Soo Line train rumbles down East 15th Street, in New Albany. March 1993. Back then the Soo Line train was the only through train on the old Monon route, until 1994, when CSX began to shift overflow traffic to the route. Before that, CSX was rumored to be even thinking about abandoning this line..
An ex K&I switcher works the west end of Louisville in March of 1993. It was on this day when my Girlfriend moved from Louisville to Florida.
