A topic I hate discussing, because it's so stupid, but something that must be discussed. Teasing. Intollerabel actions, in my book. There's a difference between 'messing around' teasing and the kind fo teasing that hurts people.
When I was in junior highschool, there was a specific teasing incident. A girl was being teased relentlessly for dressing different, istenignt o different music and acting different. Even though 'Sally', who was doing the teasing, said she was 'just playing around', 'Jamie' didn't see it that way. One day, she had enough. As she entered her eigth period class she mumbled something to herself about having to finsih an overdue project for that class. 'Sally' seemed to think she was being insulted, and called the other girl a 'worthless b*tch'. The next thing anyone knew, 'Jamie' had taken a swing at 'Sally' sending her for a loop. When 'Sally retaliated, she caught 'Jamie' with her ring in the eye. It was a bad scene. The two ended up ith ISS for a day and all because of?
drum roll please...
Teasing.
Is that not the stupidest thing? Was ISS, a bad mark on your permanent record and a black eye worth it? Or is it not fair that some kids live their life in fear? Always looking voer their shoulder? Was 'Jamie' right? was it ok to deck 'Sally' because she had enough of being the butt end of every joke? Or was 'Sally' right because she HAD been punched first, and she was only joking?
What's really fair, what's really going on, isn't always brought to justice.
Besides, who cares. It's not that big a deal. I mean, it's just 'a joke', isn't it?
