(or alright what's being going on then chaps!!!)
We thought at this point it was only fair to introduce ourselves and explain how all this came to be. Who are we, well we are firstly all friends, and secondly we are all Practising Pagans. Some are Witches,(some coven, some not) and some are not, but we are all most certainly PAGAN.
This all initially started with 2 separate groups who through our friendships then combined to become what we are now. The ASSOCIATION of SUSSEX PAGANS came first in February 1999, starting with a monthly Moot in Haywards Heath which quickly outgrew it's original humble beginnings and had to be moved to larger premises. The Moot continues to this day and is still very popular with regular interesting speakers and organised Open Rituals. The continued success has since spawned another Moot in Horsham,by the Grand Order of Fishfingers.
The ASSOCIATION of KENT PAGANS came later in April 2001 when after being let down in the most appalling manner 3 of us had been left to run a Beltane Picnic and play, (which had already been advertised) on our own. We decided there and then that we would not let everyone down and rallied as much support as we could from friends. The day went wonderfully, attendance touched 50 , the Goddess had the Sun shine all day for us and we had more cast than we had had originally. From this start we decided that we had enjoyed it so much we would do more and The Association was born. We now also have open rituals and family picnics, run a teaching circle and a hearth moot. We decided to merge in June 2001 when we met together as a group of friends over a barbecue and this is the result. We now try to organise events that will be of interest to all in our area.We offer Celebrant Services and Teaching Circles, we also run an egroup and hope to expand our services so that everyone in Kent and Sussex who is Pagan may be able to socialise and network with others who share our beautiful and wonderful beliefs . Brightest Blessings to you all
