Chapter Two
Part Two
Kikis POV
"Where am I?" I mumbled.
"You are in your bedroom. And you were supposed to be home three hours ago! Youre supposed to tell me before you stop at the park!" came a VERY familiar voice.
I thought quickly as I slowly opened my eyes. "Oh, Im sorry mom. I forgot to mention that little detail." I tried to sit up, but immediately fell back down, the room spinning before me.
"Well, get some rest. Youve got a fever, and need it." She responded.
"Alright." My eyes closed and didnt open again until I was asleep.

"Kiki. Get up. Well, um, how do you feel?" my moms voice woke me from my dreams.
"Ohuhhuh?" I murmured.
"How are you feeling?" she repeatd.
"I think I can pull through." I joked, smiling.
"Alright, get ready. You dont want to keep your friends waiting." She reasoned.
"OK, Im going." I slowly dragged myself out of bed as my mom closed the door as she left.

Michis POV
"Michi! Michi!" a familiar voice penetrated my sleep. I slowly opened my eyes to see a very familiard face to match.
"Dad?" I garbled, shielding my eyes from the sun.
"Honey, are you OK?" I came home from work to find you lying out here! What were you doing?" he asked hysterically.
"Im fine. I.. wasuh just relaxing and fell asleep." I added as sheepishly as I could act it.
"Are you sure?"
"Yes! I'm fine! But, uh." My adoptive father leaned in closer to hear. "Could you help me inside?"
He gave me a look, but helped me inside, bringing my backpack along with him.
The minute I was in my room, I immediately lay down on the bed and was instantly asleep.
"Michi? Michi? How are you feeling?" this time it was my adoptive mother that disturbed my sleep.
"Huh? Wha?" I groaned as I sat up in bed. I squeezed my eyes shut at the difference of light.
"How are you feeling?" she repeated.
"Well, Im sure I can get throught the day as long as I take some ibuprofen before I go." I assured her.
"Are you sure?" she wondered.
"Yes."
"Alright, then. Get ready. You shouldnt keep your friends waiting." She said, getting up.
"OK." I groaned, sitting up and making my way over to my dresser.
* * *
"Hi guys." Michi said as she approached Jeanna and Kiki.
"Hey, Michi." They answered.
"Whats up? How are you feeling today?" Kiki asked, draping a heavy arm over Michis shoulder.
"A little tired, and Im waiting for the ibuprofen to take effect. Otherwise, fine." She answered.
"Ibuprofen? What Ibuprofen? Oh! Your mom gave it to you!" Kiki answered her own question.
"Hey guys! Sorry Im late." Ellette apologized, running up to the corner.
"Sokay. We have plenty of time to get there." Michi assured.
"So, anymore developments on the uhhhh Megami stuff?" Kiki wondered.
"Nah. But its been on my mind all night though." Jeanna admitted.
"Same here. I havent been able to think about anything else all night." Kiki agreed. "How about you, Ellette?"
"Well, I saw some stuff on the news about the Shadows. They mainly steal and deal drugs. They have been accused of three murders to date." Ellette explained. "The police believe it to be a group of teenagers."
"Teenagres? Huh? Stupid. They give us a bad name." Kiki said. She began walking backwards in front of the group.
Ellette nodded.
"Well, Michi, how about you?" Jeanna turned to her Japanese friend.
Michi shook her head. "Zip here, too."
"Cmon. Wed better quicken the pace. School will start soon." Ellette spoke then did so, as did the others.
