Episode Six
Goddesses
Mr. and Mrs. Ainsly sat in the waiting room, anxiously awaiting a diagnosis. They scanned the room, seeing the six other familiar adults. The Senonas, Kikis parents, were huddled close together on a couch, praying a quiet prayer. Jeannas aunt and uncle were clutching each other firmly as they sat in chairs pushed closely together, suspenseful expressions painted on their faces. Mrs. Alaire, Michis adoptive mother, rested on a couch, shoulders tense as she watched Mr. Alaire pace nervously.

At first, the Ainslys had been confused. Had all of the parents and children come because they heard of Ellettes condition? They soon found that all four girls had been hospitalized after being found unconscious in the front yard or driveway. Michi had been found in a puddle of water leaning against Mrs. Alaires blue Mazda, and Ellette had been found lying at the base of the Ainslys front door. Kiki had been discovered at the base of a tree, and Jeanna was lying on the steps leading up to her aunt and uncles condo. Now all eight adults were here as one party, emotionally supporting each other. Through the girls friendship over the past few weeks, the adults had formed their own little group, loving to get together on behalf of the girls, and for the sake of fellowship.

Ellette Ainsly? called a hefty doctor, slowly entering the room. Mr. and Mrs. Ainsly immediately got up and made their way over to where the doctor was waiting, anxious about their daughters diagnosis. The doctor lifted his clipboard. Mr. and Mrs. Ainsly, Ellette has not been diagnosed with anything definite as of now. Almost every muscle and tissue has become... well, the nearest explanation we can find is inflammation. They are not swollen, but her muscles and tissues are severely overheated. Her temperature has soared past 110 degrees and is still rising. We are doing anything and everything we can to bring her temperature down, but were afraid of how her body will react if her temperature gets any higher. Shell be alright if she begins to get better within the next few days, but if she remains in this condition for too long, complications may and probably will arise. Im sorry, maam.

Mrs. Ainsly looked ready to cry. Mr. Ainsly draped a comforting arm over her shoulder. When can we see her?

It wont be long. As soon as we can stabilize her body. He answered, giving a hopeful smile. The two thanked the doctor and returned to their seats before explaining the conditions to the other worried adults.

A few short minutes later, a smaller male doctor walked in and called another familiar name. Kita Senona? The two immediately got up and joined the doctor as he read over his notes quickly before addressing them. Kikis condition is one Ive never seen before. For some unknown reason, her body is giving off an electrical impulse constantly. Sort of like an electric eel. This problem has thwarted any and all attempts to electronically monitor her vitals, plus, it is not safe for anyone to touch her with the body giving these shocks off. Her electricity short circuits any machines attached to her. There are no suggestions that signal anything is wrong with her beyond the impulses. We are monitoring her, and are trying to find the times when her body stops giving off electricity so we can find any additional problems if there are any. You may see your daughter as soon as we find that pattern. Alright?

Thank you doctor. Mrs. Senona sighed, her face a mask of concern. They returned to their seats and informed all the other adults before returning to their prayer.

Jeanna Faith? called a woman doctor, looking around the waiting room. Jeannas aunt and uncle responded by walking up to meet her. She immediately sighed and began speaking. Jeannas case is one of the lungs. We are suspecting that her bronchioles or something of the sort have ruptured. There is no proof of this whatsoever, but that is the only explanation for her breathing problems. Her lungs might be spasaming, but we are not sure. We are doing everything we can to stabilize her lungs. She explained.

Is she going to be alright? Jeannas uncle inquired.

She will be just fine if her breathing stabalizes, but complications are guarunteed if we cannot get her to stabilize. He answered. You may see her now if you would like.

Jeannas aunt and uncle followed the doctor, waving back at the rest of the group. For a good five minutes, nothing occurred in the small waiting room. The Ainslys were then called up to see their daughter, and soon after, so were the Senonas, leaving the Alaires to continue to pace. About thirty seconds later, another woman doctor walked out and called the anticipated name. Michi Yoshe? The Alaires jumped out of their seats as if they had sat on tacks and ran to meet the doctor. The doctor took a deep breath and began to explain. Michi seems to have a problem with her lungs. She is coughing up a lot of water, but the source of the water is not apparent. We have no idea where its coming from. We have her on oxygen with an iron lung, but we may have to drain her lungs, which we are hesitant about doing. We will be forced to drain her lungs if she does not improve within the next twenty-four hours. You may see her now. the two followed the doctor down the hallway, and into their daughters room.

Ellette slowly became aware of her surroundings as consciousness returned to her. Her eyes refused to open for the time being, but she could tell she was in a dark room. Many heavy blankets lay on top of her. Wet and cold blankets. She finally got her body to respond to her minds pleas and opened her eyes. She was in a hospital room, the windows showing the pitch black sky, revealing the late night. She slowly lifted her arms, pushed the blankets off of her, and sluggishly hauled her heavy body out of bed. She looked out the window once she was standing up.

Something was calling to her. It was a warm, but tired voice. A sense of trust formed in her gut, so she closed her eyes and tried her best to respond to the soft male voice in her head.
Yes? What is it? Can you tell me whats been happening lately? Ellettes thoughts seemed to disappear into the forest that surrounded the hospital. There was no response whatsoever. She sighed and opened her eyes, almost screaming when she did so.

She was no longer in the hospital room. She seemed to be in the forest she had just been observing from her hospital room window. However, there was no such hospital anywhere around... at least what of it she could see. She panicked a bit, looking around for any sign of civilization. But none were found. She took a few minutes to calm herself down, and figure out a way to get out of the odd and dark forest. She made up her mind that if she went one way, keeping to a straight path, she would eventually find the edge of the forest. Everything has an end, right? She began walking, but it wasnt long before she heard the snap of a twig to her left.

She whirrled around, ready to face whatever foe was out there. But what she came into contact with was not what she expected. A bright light shone somewhere in the bushes. Ellette inched her way toward the bushes, cautious not to disturb or startle whatever-it-was. She drew aside the bushes to find, not a thing, but a person. A familiar person at that.

Kiki? she wondered, reaching out to poke the sleeping girl awake. However, the minute her index finger touched Kikis shoulder, she received a violent shock of electricity. Ellette jerked her hand back as Kiki screamed and sat up, holding her poked shoulder.

Ellette? she whispered, panting.

Kiki, what did you do to me? Ellette demanded gently, surprised and holding her arm to her chest.

What did
I do to you? What did you do to me? Kiki answered, still clutching her shoulder. It felt like you pressed a glowing coal to my shoulder!

I felt like  stuck my finger in an electric socket! Ellette countered.

The two said nothing for a moment before Kiki spoke up. So... where are we?

No idea. One minute I was in the hospital... Ellette motioned around her, allowing that to finish her sentence for her.

Same here. Kiki answered warily, looking around.

Wait, you were in the hospital, too? Ellette held up her hands for a rewind and freeze.

Yeah, and so were you? Kiki nodded.

Yeah. Why were you there?

I dont remember. What about you?

"Same here. I cant really remember anything before I passed out. I was heading home and then... it was really hot... and ... Oh forget it. We need to find a way outta here.

Kiki and Ellette headed out, trying to go straight no mater what. They seemed to be getting nowhere when another disturbance caught their attention. They slowly approached the clearing where they had heard the noise. Just as they were about to enter the clearing, something rammed right into Kiki, knocking both down. Two screams were heard as Kiki and the other person hit the ground.

Ellette examined the damage. Kiki lay on the ground, shivering as if she wore a bathing suit during winter. Across from her, sat Michi, holding her torso, and shaking like a leaf. Ellette knelt next to Kiki, who was closest. Kiki, are you alright?

Que frio esta! Estoy helando! Kiki cried in her own language.

Youre cold? Ellette wondered, easily understanding spanish.

S-s-s-s-si. She stuttered through her shaking lips.

Come on. That was Michi you ran into. Ellette grabbed Kikis arm to help her to her feet.

Kikis shivering instantly stopped as a warm feeling passed throughout her body. But soon, Ellettes hand passed warm. Kiki screamed as Ellettes hand burned her skin, leaving red burn marks on her upper arm. Ellette instantly let go as Kiki got up on her own, clutching her burned arm.

Kiki smiled a reassuring smile as they walked over to where Michi was sitting. Ellette held her hand close to her chest.
I think Ill keep my hands to myself for a while.

Michi, are you okay? Kiki asked, worry tainting her voice. She put a hand on her shoulder, letting Michi know she was there.

Michi screamed in pain and fell backwards, cringing away from Kikis hand. Kiki! Ellette! she cried, once she was who the two were. What are you doing here?

We could put the same question to you. Ellette crossed her arms, more to keep from touching anyone than to enforce her statement.

Well, one minute I was in this hospital, and the next-

YOU TOO?! the other two cried in unison.

What? You mean you two were also in the hospital? Michi exclaimed. The two nodded. Why?

Ellette shook her head. Neither of us knows. Do you know why you were there?

Michi shrugged and shook her head. But where are we now?

No se. Kiki shook her head. I woke up here. And Ellette was just... here.

Michi stood. Well, do you know a way out?

No way. Ive never even been down in this forest before, much less bothered to pick up a map in the lobby. Ellette joked. She began walking in the same direction she and Kiki had been headed earlier, followed by Kiki and Michi.

The three continued, all guessing that sooner or later theyd find someone they recognized. And they were right. Within about ten minutes, a light above them caused them to look up.

What the-? AHHHH!! Michi screamed as something large and heavy landed on her back.

Michi? Ellette looked back to see Jeanna lying on her back on top of Michi. Without warning, Jeanna let loose a scream as Michi remained silent. Kiki helped Jeanna to her feet, Michi began to gasp for air. The minute that Kiki touched Jeannas arm, Jeannas attention was not on how cold she was, but rather on the feeling that she was being electrocuted. Jeanna gained her feet and stood away a bit.

Kiki felt like all the air had been savagely forced out of her lungs, but that wasnt the only thing worrying her. Rather, it was the look on Jeannas face. It was the same one Michi had worn when they collided.
Something happens to people when they touch me. Id better not touch anyone for now.

Michi got up slowly and the four stood in an uncomfortable silence before Jeannas voice broke it. So... why are we here? Where is here? One minute I was in this-

Let me guess. You were in the hospital, but you have no clue why. Ellette sighed and crossed her arms.

How did you know? Jeanna stared at Ellette.

Thats where all of us were. Michi answered.

Jeanna nodded slowly, before sitting in the grass and the other followed suit. Another silence followed, but this time, it was broken by Kiki.

Amigas, I have a confession to make. This isnt the first time something weird has happened. I had a dream. And in it was this guy. He had-

Golden eyes and-

Ebony hair. Ellette cut Michi off as she had done to Kiki.

And he had a multi-colored staff. Jeanna finished.

You all dreamed too? Michi cried.

Yeah. It weas so real, but... afterwards, I had this wing on my forehead. It was strange. Jeanna recalled.

I had a flame. Ellette observed.

Mine was a lightning blot. Kiki added.

I didnt see a symbol, but I had proof enough that it was no dream. Or at least no ordinary dream. Michi admitted.

So, all of us had a strange dream, and then, for whatever reasons, ended up in the hospital. Now were out here, in our pajamas, with no clue how to get out?!? Ellette cried.

That pretty much covers it. Kiki sighed.

Ellette opened her mouth to speak, but something shut her up. A small voice in the back of their minds began to call them t a clearing up ahead.

You guys feel that? Michi wondered, putting two fingers to her temple.

Yeah. Should we follow it? Jeanna inquired.

Might as well. I had an experience with a pull like this in my dream. It almost hurt not to follow it. Theres really no use trying to ignore it. Lets go. Michi nodded and stood, the others not too far behind. Within minutes, they had reached the source of the small voice.

What the-? Kiki looked around, but no one seemed present, save themselves. However, five objects on the ground caught the moonlight and bounced foreward, playing in the girls eyes. Que son esos? Kiki asked, staring at one of the red plates on the ground.

I have no idea. Ellette answered, even though she was not the only one who got the gist of what the Spanish girl was saying. Ellette and the other two also knelt in front of stones imbedded in the earth. Michi examined the one in front of her.

She didnt make a profession of learning about different stones, or geology, or anything like that, but she could definitely tell many stones apart. She looked at the shiny surface, noting its glassy quality and red tinge. She ran her eyes over it, wondering if they were playing tricks on her.

Michi? What type of stone is this? Youre usually pretty good with this stuff. Jeanna stated, examining the smooth glassy surface.

If my eyes arent playing tricks on me, its... diamond! And not just any diamond... this is red diamond! Michi cried.

I didnt know diamonds came in red. Jeanna looked at Michi, a questioning look in her eye.

They do. But its the rarest type of diamond on earth! Who in thei right minds would leave these out here?! Michi wondered aloud.

Theyre imbedded in the ground. No one can take them. Unless they-

Uh... guys! Ellette cried, cutting Kiki off.

Si? Kiki spoke for all three of them.

You might wanna come see this! she cried, looking down at her finger, that had bearly brushed against the red diamond, which was now glowing brilliantly. The other three crowded behind her to see what was happening. A bright focused dot of light appeared in the upper left corner and began running along the surface, carved words left in its wake.

The light finally dissipated and a plethora of words now sat engraved in the surface of the diamond. Ellette read them aloud. Jin Dao. Fires Angel. Hinote Megami. Whats all that mean? she wondered.

Well, you know the rest of it, but Hinote Megami is Japanese. It means goddess of fire, or fire goddess. Michi answered. The four looked back to the stone only to find something small resting on the diamond. Ellette picked it up and examined it. It was a small glassy orb, red in color, a flame burning inside.

Whoa. Whats this? she wondered, turning it around in her palm a few times.

Ellette, look. Kiki pointed out a groove in the diamond just below the words. It looks like that would be a key to that little groove there. Try it.

Ellette stopped examining the orb and gently set it in the indentation. Immediately the red diamond plate turned to a mirror, reflecting Ellettes image. All four looked down into the mirror, but only Ellettes face stared back at them. What the-? We dont have refections! Whats up? Jeanna cried, stepping back.

You dont have reflections, and mine is strange. Ellette mentioned, not taking her eyes oof her doubles. Indeed, the Elette that was in the mirror was not identical to the girl that stared into it. The Ellette in the mirror wore a shiny red top with holes in the shoulders and red eyes stared at them, rather than Ellettes copper brown. The hair in the front of her face was pulled back to a small ponytail on the back of her head while the rest hung down, and a red headband decorated her forehead. But beneath the headband, a small flame was visible. Ellette put a hand to her bare forehead in a vain attempt to touch the flame that appeared in the mirror. This is the symbol that was on my forehead in my dream. OUCH!!! Ellette yelled, putting a hand to her pinched arm. What did you do that for?! she cried.

Michi smiled. I was just making sure you were not still in that dream.

Ellette waved her away and the other two went over to different plates, followed by Michi. Bright lights flashed as they touched their plates, then three voices slowly read their own inscriptions. Kikis voice came first.

Zoe Carsyn, Angela de Relampago, Denkou Megami.

Next came Jeannas.

Avari Charrisse, Winds Angel, Kaze Megami.

Last was Michis.

Lian Miyoko, Mizu no Tenchi, Sui Megami.

Come to think of it, those names, Jin Dao and Hinote Megami, that golden eyed man in my dream, he called me those names. Ellette stood and looked at the other three. All of them had inserted their orb keys and were looking at their altered reflection.

Kiki raised an eyebrow. Her dirty blonde hair was pulled back in the mirror, and her blue-grey-green eyes reflected purple. Her shirt was a light purple sleeveless top with a high collar and a purple electricity bolt glowed on her forehead.

The reflected Jeanna wore her long blonde hair down, and a teal headband crossed under her bangs. Her sapphire blue eyes looked teal colored, and a teal wing glowed gently on her forehead from under the headband. She wore a teal tank top held up by two thick bands that almost completely covered her shoulders.

Michis reflection showed of her crystal blue eyes and her hair pulled into a high ponytail with a light blue ribbon. Two strands of hair from her grown out bangs fell down in front of her face, and she wore a crystal blue top that wrapped around her neck, then angled straight down to wrap under her arms.

The girls all stood as a rustle came from the bushes. They all stared as a man emerged. The golden-eyed, ebony-haired man from their dreams. Hello, girls. He said casually and amiably.

They all took a step back, but Ellette immediately recovered that distance. Hey! Youre the one who appeared to all of us! Who are you, and whats going on? she demanded.

Settle down, Ellette-sama. I will gladly explain everything. He answered, shifting his hold on the staff.

Ellette-sama? Why do you address her like that? Michi wondered at his amount of respect.

The man seemed to ignore Michis comment, and continued. My name is Kin. Yes, I am the one has caused all this to happen. In order to fully explain why and how, I must tell you a story. Please, wont you sit down?

The four girls immediately obeyed, longing to know the full story of these odd occurrences. Kin took a deep breath and began. You see, a long time ago, even before my time, the elements, earth, wind, water, fire, and lightning began to rage out of control. No one knows why, but natural disasters began to occur constantly, killing thousands of thousands of people. The few governments of the world wondered how so many natural disasters could happen so frequently. After doing research, experts could only explain that the cause of the problems had to be caused by the elements themselves. But nothing could be done to stop the very thing that they dwelt in, and hope began to wear thin. But out of the chaos, five young samurai emerged. Each one from a different nation. It was unheard of in those times for a woman to do any type of battling, but, indeed, these were women.

Each of them had hand-crafted a special staff. Each representing one of the five elements. Using their honed skills, they used the staffs to imprison the elements themselves. However, the elements cursed the samurai for imprisoning them. Since they performed the curse in a hurry, it was not unable to be thwarted. The girls emotional hearts were torn from their bodies, and their powers stripped away, leaving their bodies soulless and empty shells. The powers were physical enough that they could be formed into the small glass balls that you found there on the diamonds. But their hearts were strong and pure enough that they couldnt be simply destroyed. The hearts of these samurai were unique. Their potential could only be brought out when there were human lives to protect. Those same hearts and emotions would be set into five new samurai to continue and hopefully finish the work that they started when the threat of the elements rose again. And they knew it would. To finally reappear when humanity is in danger. And the samurai have come back to protect humanity now that the elements have returned. Kin sighed at the end of his mini lecture.

Really? And... were supposed to be the new samurai? Ellette crossed her arms in disbelief.

Yes, you may not be the images of the original samurai, but you have their hearts, for sure. Kin smiled as he turned to Jeanna. Jeanna, you will fly with the unrivaled grace of Kiana. Kiki, you will shine with Inaras light. Michi, your heart reflects the purity of your spirit, just like Kiyoras did. Ellette, the fire of your fervor burns as brightly and with the instensity of Necia.

You said there were five samurai. Wheres the fifth one? Jeanna wondered.

Lynettes heart has either not yet resurfaced, or, she is elsewhere. The hearts may only return to one of the original country that that particular samurai was from. For instance, Necia, or Neci, was from Bristol, England. Inara was from Burgos, Spain, and Lynette was from Lyon, France. Apparently, the french girl will emerge soon.... I hope. Kin once again sighed, and looked at the last diamond plate. If she has indeed been chosen, the plate will already be engraved with the same information as each of yours.

Ellette walked over to the glassy piece and ran her eyes over the French writing. Shes been chosen. Her name is Celine Etoile.

But there isnt a little glass ball over here. Kiki observed, peering over Ellettes shoulder.

Yes. Apparently, she has already accepted the power of being a Megami. Kin smiled weakly.

A Megami? Michi threw him a look.

Yes. Thats what the five samurai called themselves. Of course, they werent real goddesses. That was simply their group name. Kin fingered his staff slightly.

So, whats this new evil? Ellette wondered, sitting next to Kin.

Well, the staffs created by the original Megami were, of course, highly coveted. One man, by the name Teppo Iken took possession of all five. This happened when I was younger. He was using the staffs to attack and conquer all of Japan before he moved on to the rest of the world. I was recruited to help get rid of him. After Teppo beat me once, my master, Sento, gave me this staff to use against him, and I defeated him. But seven years ago, Teppo returned in a new body. And he put spells on it to make sure that I couldnt physically kill him. I have to vanquish his soul. But he knew as well as I do that I dont have the power to do that. Sento knew the Megami personally, and they told him that if anything were to happen to them, they wanted him to do whatever he thought best with the things they left behind. Sento thought it best that the samurai returned to vanquish Teppos soul. He is searching for the five staffs. You must find them before he does. Kin urged.

Well, where do we find them? Michi wondered, turning from the diamond plate to him.

Frankly, noone knows. Kin sighed, and closed his eyes.

You gotta be kiddin me. Ellette sighed and drooped her head. Trying to find four sticks in the world. Like finding a needle in a haystack. Or, more like finding a specific piece of hay in a haystack. She gave a heavy sigh.

When the Megami trapped the elements in the staffs, the staffs rocketed to different corners of the earth. When the new Megami were brought together, so would the staffs be brought together. Kin explained.

I have a completely random question. No offense, but how old are you? You talk about olden days and
even before your time. Ellette looked at him attentively.

I am ageless. Because I was recruited as the protector of earth to battle the elements, I was made immortal. I have lived a little over two thousand years.

The girls eyes widened. Wow. I thought you were in your mid-twenties! Jeanna cried.

Yes, well, when I defeated Teppo, the people wanted me to always protect them, so Sento made me ageless, and I will serve my master all my long life. Kin fingered his staff somewhat fondly.

So, what does the staff do? Kiki asked quietly.

Well, it has great combat power in itself, but its main purpose is to heal. It can call on dead souls to help in its cause, though it is not capable of restoring the lives of those who have lost theirs. That is how I defeated Teppo with it about one thousand years ago. But, like I said, seven years ago, he returned and wreaked havoc on a city in Japan called Osaka. He still retains some of the power of the staffs, and it will not leave him until the day he dies. I sealed him away that day, but my seal could only hold so long. Now he is back, and leading a gang that is terrorizing New York City. Youve heard of the Shadows, havent you?

Ellettes eyes brightened in recognition. Yeah! Theyre a huge gang that just recently surfaced. Theyre handing a lot of trouble to the police, and not a single one has been caught.

Yes, Teppo Iken has given the members some magical abilities to make them faster, and more stealthy than normal people. He has returned under the alias of Spite.

Spite? Michi echoed.

Kin looked at Michi, almost affectionately. He smiled before answering her question. Yes. I dont know why he chose that name, but... Anyway, those plates are for you. Im not quite sure of the reasons, but the Megami gave those to Sento the day before they died. Sento decided this was the best use for them.

For us? Ellette cried.

Yeah. I dont know how, but I feel as if they hold a key to finding the staffs. Kin answered, standing. The girls stood along with him.

So... we need to be these Megami? Ellette wondered.

Yes. The choice belongs to you, of course, but should you decline, I must warn you. Teppo, Spite, could gather the staffs and I might not be able to stop him again. In fact I probably wont be cause of the spells he put on his body. I do not want to force you into this, but I am just warning you what the consequences will be should you decline the proposal. Kin sighed.

What exactly does this job offer include? Ellette wondered, fingering her glass ball.

The four of you will need to fight off the shadows as an aide to the police. And eventually, you must destroy Spite for good. Kin explained.

We need to... fight? Michi asked hesitantly.

Yes, I understand it is hard for you to accept, but, the Megami hearts have chosen you to dwell in. You are the only ones who can do it. Kin explained, approaching Michi. He pressed the glass orb into her palm and gently closed her fingers around it, holding her small hands in his while his staff stood off to the side on its own. I understand that you see pain and suffering in the furture, and I understand if you dont want to do this. But, Kin stepped away, so it seemed as if he were addressing all of them. I beg you, on your worlds behalf, to accept. What Kin did next, surprised all of them. He got down on his knees, laid his staff horizontally on the ground before him and bowed his head.

The girls looked at him, then at each other. Ellettes eyes took on a determined look as she squeezed the orb tight in her hand and walked up to Kin. She knelt beside him, and set her orb next to the staff, bowing her head to the other three. Jeanna was the next one to agree, setting her orb by the staff, kneeling, and bowing her head to Michi and Kiki. Kiki and Michi exchanged a glance, before Kiki knelt next to Kin, set her orb by the staff, and bowed her head. Michi looked at the three that had already conceded. She knew that the weight that she would bear would be incredible, but... her friends had agreed to this without thinking of their own welfare. How could she refuse her only friends? Michi walked up and knelt in front of Kin, placing her orb gently by his staff. Kin and the other three looked up, returning Michis gentle smile.

Thank you girls. Now, your first battle will occur soon. Im not sure when, but I know soon. You will know what to do when that time for battle comes. If you had notice, when you touch each other, you feel pain. The reason is, the elements are not part of the package that comes with the orbs. The orbs simply give you the ability to control the elements. In order to fully tap into your power, your souls needed to merge with the elements themselves. Your bodies dont know what to do with all this power, and it will take one more day for your bodies to stabilize. After they are stable, you may touch people again. Until then, I would suggest you avoid physical contact, skin to skin, if at all. Kin explained, standing and taking hold of his staff as he did it. The girls grabbed their orbs and stood as well.

What do we do about our parents, and the hospital? Theyre going to be freaked if we suddenly make a miraculous recovery. Jeanna reminded him.

I will brain wash all who were involved in tending to your conditions. They will not remember a thing. Kin smiled and closed his eyes. A bright light emitted from the top of his staff for a moment, then vanished. He opened his eyes and smiled. There, everything is as it would be had your parents not found you unconscious. And I have a gift for each of you, besides the diamond plates. Kin pointed his staff at the four plates. They lifted from the ground and hovered for a moment before placing themselves in the respective girls hands. Kin approached Ellette and took her orb from her hand. He slowly touched the tip of his staff to the glassy surface, then pulled it away. Growing from the tip of the staff was a red piece of cloth He grabbed the cloth in midair and wrapped it loosely around Ellettes neck. He put the orb to the cloth under her chin and it stuck there, creating a decoration for the new choker. Ellette fondled the orb a bit.

Wow, thanks. Kin nodded and repeated the action with all of them, giving them a choker to hold their orbs.

I will see you soon, Megami. Kin raised his staff and bowed before he vanished.
