| Kiki! Jeanna waved her hand in the air as she trotted up to where Kiki was talking with a brown haired girl. Hey, Jeanna! Michi, this is the girl I was telling you about. This is Jeanna Faith. Jeanna, this is Michi Yoshe. Shes from Japan. Michi bowed a greeting. Konnichiwa, Jeanna. Its nice to meet you. Ditto. So... you guys walk home as well? Yup! Michi and I only live about four blocks away from each other. Kiki answered. Cool! Michi! Kiki! came a familiar and unique British accented voice. Ellette! Michi cried as the ebony haired girl slowed to a stop in front of them. Hey guys! You didnt tell me you walked home from school, too. Ellette cried. You never asked. Kiki smirked. Ha-ha. Very funny. Oh... whos this? she smiled and motioned to Jeanna. Oh... sorry. This is Jeanna Faith. Shes from Australia. Kiki introduced the two girls. Oh, hello. Im Ellette Ainsly. Im from Bristol, England. Welcome to the group! Ellette said amiably. Thanks. Well, I gotta go. Jeanna said, heading toward the door. Yeah. So do we. Michi nodded as she and Kiki followed. Ellette did as well. The four girls exited the building and were surprised to find that they all headed the same way. Are you following me, or do you live down this way? Ellette wondered of the other three girls. Latter. Jeanna simply stated. Same here. Kiki said. Michi nodded. Weird! So how long do you all go down this road? Jeanna asked. Up until Rens road. Kiki and I turn left. Michi answered. I go to Paddle Drive, and then turn right. Ellette explained. Paddle was the next street down from Rens. I turn right at Rens. Jeanna stated. Cool! So... we have some time. Wanna talk, get to know a little more about each other? Kiki suggested. Good idea, Kiki. You go first. Michi agreed. Oh. Uhhh...lets see...I was born in Burgos, Spain, and I have three older sisters. Theyre all in college, though. My dad is an engineer, and my mom owns and manages the Allano. You know, the restaurant? Whoa! I love that place! Ellette cried. Your mom OWNS it? Yeah. Thats about it for me. My family moved here about a year ago. Thats when I met Michi for the first time. Weve been friends ever since. Okay, how about... Ellette next. Well uhhh... what to say. Well, Im from Bristol, England, and my family moved here about two months ago. My mom is a substitute teacher, and my dad is a Science teacher at New York Public Elementary School. My younger brother goes to that school. And thats all. Now I get to pick. Michi! Your turn. Well... this is going to be really stupid. No it wont be, Michi. Just tell us what you do know. Kiki pushed. Michi smiled weakly and gave in. Well, I only know that I am from somewhere in Japan and my adoptive parents, the Alaires, have raised me since I was seven or eight. Which, I might add, is as far back as I can remember. I cant remember a thing since I was seven or eight, so I dont know what happened to my parents or anything. But... to me its not too bad. I guess its all Ive ever known. My dad is also an engineer. He works with Mr. Senona. My mom is a P.T. A Physical Therapist. I dont have any siblings, and...yeah. Alright, the only one left, Jeanna! Okay, I was born in Minilya, Australia, and my Uncle, Aunt, sister, and I moved here about a month ago. My mom and dad, well, they died about two years ago. They had a fight, but wanted to work it out in a quiet place, which our house was not. So they went for a drive. A drunk driver hit them and sent them rolling into a rocky ditch. My younger sister and I went to stay with my Aunt and Uncle. Wow. So you lost your parents too? Michi asked. Yeah. I guess we have something in common. Jeanna answered somewhat morbidly. They girls reached Rens road and went their separate ways. But not before shouting a quick See ya on Monday! to each other. Then all four disappeared to their homes. |
