| 1. Review the area in which the museum will unfold 2. Is the area suitable for special needs (Wheelchairs etc) 3. Does the area have Ladies & Gents convenience rooms 4. Form a museum committee - advice for planning, decorating and financial support. 5. Record a log book for articles recieved 6. Transfer if possible all data to a floppy disk 7. View other museums for presentation & layout 8. Decide on how the museum is going to be portrayed, on one theme or mixed for variation. 9. Also if available video all artifacts received. 10.Reply to all senders of artifacts or information enclosing a photocopy of what was received. 11. Contact local media for publicity in prpmoting your museum. 12 Check with local authorities on heritage funding if available and grants etc. 13 Feedback - have a guestbook for views and opinions of the museum. |
