Recent improvements at the
Kentlands Ice Rink are being made with the idea
of improving the quality of our ice and extending
the length of the skating season. These
improvements consist of a new Secondary
Refrigerant Pump Station, a Rotary Screw Rink
Chiller and a model 135 Ice Rink Refrigeration
Grid with a Center-fed Reverse-Return Header
System.
Site preparation was done in December, in part
due to the weather, as opposed to waiting until
April. At the end of the season the new Rink
System will be completely buried in 10,000 PSI
fiber-meshed concrete.
We would like to express our gratitude and
appreciation to the following companies and
individuals, whose support, patience and faith
have made the Kentlands Community Ice Rink a
reality.
