November 2002:  Attorney hired to prepare K1 petition.

December 17, 2002:  Attorney cables I-129F petition package to NSC.

December 19, 2002:  NOA1

May 1, 2003:
NOA2 (Click on link to our experience waiting for NOA2!)

June 2003:  Ruby had P3 package ready to hand in the day before the interview.  Upon
review by the U.S. Embassy, she was told that her birth certificate had only
her first name which did not match the first and last name on the K1
petition.  Ruby had to go and get a new modified birth certificate that shows
both first and last name.  Obtaining an updated birth certificate took her
about a week.  Then she called to get a new K1 interview date which was
set for July 15.  At that time, the U.S. Embassy did K1 interviews only on
Tuesdays and 7/15 was the earliest available Tuesday.

July 14, 2003:  Ruby hands in the P3 package to the
U.S. Embassy - Jakarta.

July 15, 2003:  Ruby had actual K1 interview and was approved.  Told to pick up visa on
Friday.  At that time, K1 visas were issued only on Friday of the same
week in which the K1 interview was conducted.

July 18, 2003:  Ruby picks up the K1 visa at the embassy.

July 20, 2003:  Ruby arrives using Seattle as POE.

August 16, 2003:  Wedding day.

October 20, 2003:  Filed AOS, EAD, AP at the USCIS district office in Denver.  It was
forwarded to the NBC by the local office.

November 2003:  Received notice in mail stating that we did not pay the fee for the AP
application.  We mailed in the fee as soon as possible.

November 17, 2003:  Notice date(NOA) for AOS and EAD.  Received date printed on the
NOA was October 20, 2003.  The NOA also stated that you needed
to call National Customer Service Center to schedule your
                                appointment for fingerprints and biometrics.

December 5, 2003:  Ruby went to get biometrics at the USCIS Application Support
                              Center(ACS) in Denver.

December 18, 2003:  Receipt date(NOA) for AP.

January 2004:  We received RFE for AOS stating that we did not include the birth
certificate with the AOS application.  We mailed a copy as soon as
possible.  It also affected(delayed) EAD processing as EAD is somewhat
                         dependant on AOS.

January 6, 2004:  AP approved and sent via U.S. mail.

January 22, 2004:  RFE evidence(birth certificate) receipt date for AOS.

March 17, 2004:  EAD approved and card sent to Ruby.

January 2005:  Still waiting for AOS approval.
