I think we spent only a few weeks on Okinawa before being loaded back aboard ship and aimed at Vietnam. We had some civilized training while there; here are the FO teams practicing our trade at the firing range. And we had some uncivilized training; forced marches around the island with the infantry unit we supported.

 

 

In memory of LCpl Robert Guy Brown, KIA on Operation Texas on March 21, 1966. LCpl Brown had been the acting artillery FO for Echo Company, 2d Battalion, 4th Marines. He had just turned 19.  Semper Fi.
