Pride of place must go to our old pet ewe, Kathy. This is a photo of her peeking around the gate on the right, with her quadruplets, which she produced in August, 1998. I don't know who was the most surprised, her or us. She reared them all, with some assistance from me bottle feeding a couple of them. She knew she had 4 lambs too! I called them Fee, Fi, Fo and Fum. Fee is the one with the white markings and she is still with us nursing twins this year (2000). |

Last
year (1999) Kathy still managed to produce 3 lambs, and the 2 girls
are the pretty spotted ones. This year she thankfully only had
1 lamb and as she's had 12 lambs in 5 years I think she's really
deserved her retirement, and she'll spend the rest of her days
bellowing at the fence for her extra food treats.

Our house is behind the Radiata pine trees in the middle of the photo. One of our boundry fences is on the right of the photo below the pine trees. |
