Ardin Ardin is a young looking dwarf with brown hair and eyes the colour of jade. He wears a dark green jacket matching his eyes, a blue shirt, dark brown baggy trousers and sturdy boots. If outside, Ardin wears a maroon felt hat. On his hands, he carries several rings with big gems, around his neck he wears a big golden necklace with a halibut shaped, sky blue sapphire. Agarhaz His dark brown hair is worn long and entwined with painstakingly intricate braids which are spaced throughout his hair evenly. His beard, by contrast, has no decoration aside from a streak of pure white that runs down through the beard on either side of his mouth. The upper part of his face is hidden beneath a well polished helm. The crest of the Mazarbul clan is proudly displayed on the brow of the helm. His body, from neck to knee, is encased in a stout jerkin of finely tooled white leather. The surface of the jacket is sewn with tightly spaced rings of burnished metal but a close look reveals that the leather in each ring is tooled with a tiny design. On his forearms and shins are matching pieces of this white leather armor, though these appear to be of a lighter weight leather. Green trousers peek out between the bottom of the coat and the tops of his boots. A hooded mantle of bright white wool is draped over his shoulders and a thick blue cloak hangs down beneath the hood. Center of Bowman Street To the east, the sturdy wooden deck Esgaroth is built on runs into the open center of the business district, a magnificant tapestry of color and noise called the Market Square. Traffic flows from the square through here, avoiding the tall statue in the center of this street that is surrounded by a small garden, and heading out onto the bridge. Bowman Street itself extends north and south, flanked by the continuous length of three story buildings that comprise the Barracks and Stables along the west of the street, and most notable comprise Brue's famous inn the Fiery Flagon and the Town Hall along the east. Blackie, bearing Agarhaz comes through the inner gate onto the street. Blackie, bearing Agarhaz has arrived. Blackie, bearing Agarhaz clomps in on graceless hooves. Agarhaz swings his leg across Blackie, bearing Agarhaz's back and drops lightly to the ground. Agarhaz has arrived. [Blackie(#27974)] Blackie tosses his head and looks back as Agarhaz dismounts Blackie heads west into the stables. Blackie has left. Agarhaz heads west into the stables. Agarhaz has left. Agarhaz comes out of the stables to the west. Agarhaz has arrived. In the darkness of the streets, faintly illuminated by the gibbous moon, a dark shape is moving through the streets of Laketown. It is a dwarf. As he approaches the center of Bowman Street, you can hear him mumbling to himself, "Damn the Laketowners. Damn the tarrifs. Damn this city." He stops in the moonlight as the newcomer steps out of the stables. Slowly, he lifts his right hand and says, "Good night, cousin.". He bows, shadows hiding his face. He approaches slowly. [Agarhaz(#26800)] His steps heavy as he emerges from the stable, Agarhaz seems weary. His head comes up rather sharply at the greeting but his features relax when he sees it is a fellow khazad who hails him. "Good night indeed," he says, "What has you about at this hour cousin? And in a town so recently shown to be dangerous, no less?" Ardin growls and says, "Aye, my shop was hard hit. I came as soon as I heard about the troubles at hand, but when I arrived nothing remained but rebuilding what had been destroyed. And what a waste it has been. But now with everything repaired business is slow in picking up. The new tarrifs are crushing any hope of a quick recovery. How is a decent dwarf supposed to reap any profit in times as these?" Agarhaz shakes his helmetted head sending ripples through his thick beard, "I know not cousin, my clan has suffered as well. Though , in truth several of our folk worked on the rebuilding and it is not so bad as it might have been." He pauses, letting the slight barb of his words settle over the merchant. Then he brings up one hand to stroke his beard thoughtfully, "Have you seen ought of the Barazin's pyrotechnic engineer, one Noisin by name? I sent him down here on an errand some weeks ago and have had no word from him." Ardin pauses. After a few moments he says, "No cousin, I have not heard anybody named Noisin. I have noticed, however, that many people in this town seem to be afraid of robbery and worse. I hope that nothing has befallen this friend of yours." Agarhaz drops his hand back to his side and glances wearily toward the inn, "If you do hear of him, please get word to me. Let any others you might see of our folk know of him as well, if he is not found soon I think I shall organize a group to go and look for him." Again his weary eyes drift towards the inn, "Now cousin, if you will excuse me, the hour is late and I am quite tired." He bows and makes his way toward the welcome glow of the inn's lighted windows.
