| The Day Justin Cut His Hair by Kenovay |

| The first time Justin put on the hair net, his curls stuck up in little spikes through the gaps. Chris, sprawled on his back on the sofa, snorted with laughter. "Lookin' good, baby, lookin' good." Justin poked at his head. "What the hell do I do now?" "Shave it all off," JC suggested from the corner, where he was scribbling in a notebook, surrounded by drifts of white paper. Justin gave him the finger and smoothed his hair proprietarily. Chris grinned. "Well, they won't let you have it like that," he said assuredly. "But!" Justin pulled the net off and looked at it, dangling from his finger. "You guys manage!" Chris pedalled his legs through the air cheerfully. "I have dreads," he said. "JC sticks his in a ponytail, Lance gels his, and Joey's is short anyway." "Mine's short!" "But so curly." Lance looked up from the table where he was filling in his tax forms. "You'll have to cut it, J. They won't let you work there otherwise. And you need a job." "Come on, infant," Joey called through from the kitchen. He stuck his face through the curtain. "Tell you what, I'll shave it all off for you." Justin backed away, hand half-raised to protect his hair. "Guys!" he whined. They advanced on him. |

| Notes: See, we had a Food Technology lesson about safety in the food industry. And the teacher mentioned the little hair nets they wear. I had a very vivid image of Justin with little curls poking up through the net. And dammit, there was a long, boring Maths lesson straight afterwards. How was I supposed to resist? | ||||||||
