| Day One: Jack almost physically felt his gaze clash with the Commodore's - they were standing nose-to-nose, and Jack found himself resenting the extra height that gave the Commodore an advantage. Wasn't bloody fair. "You willing to take this somewhere private?" he asked softly, ignoring the soldiers. Cold green eyes flicked up and down his body. "No," Norrington clipped out. Day Seven: Jack leaned his arm on Norrington's warm shoulder and gestured expansively with the other. Once he had directed attention away from them, he leaned a little closer to the Commodore. "There's a cabin-" he began, vaguely, clasping one of the elegant hands. Norrington glanced at Jack. "No dice, Sparrow. I'm not willing to gamble." Day Thirteen: Jack knew what he looked like, and he knew he looked good. Lower lip trembling, eyes wide and darkly outlined, hands outstretched. "James, if it'll make you feel safer, you can shackle me." Norrington raised his eyebrows. "You'd be willing?" "For you." There was a pause, and then an abrupt nod. "The shackles aren't necessary." |
