WELCOME HOME!!

All over the world, the Rainbow Family is gathering locally, regionally, nationally, and internationally to live in peace and harmony, love and light.  The Rainbow Family is an all-inclusive group of people, accepting everyone regardless of race, religion, class or creed, that gather together to love each other as brothers and sisters, and to walk lightly on the earth.  Rainbow is not an organization and has no official leaders or members; we organize by council and concensus.

This site is devoted to the Wisconsin-Illinois area, that we may grow together locally, and strengthen our family bonds.  In securing a good foundation locally, we are helping to substantiate our world community as a whole.

On this site, you should be able to find information on events, contacts, and visions in this general area.  We also will try our best to keep you linked with other related sites with broader views historically, regionally, nationally, and internationally.

We hope you enjoy exploring this site and we welcome all feedback you may have!  May the love and the light shine over you through all of your days.

2003 Gathering of the Tribes

This year the overall consensus was that the North American Rainbow Gathering (hence referred to as the Gathering) will be in the Great Basin states (Utah, Nevada, California), from July 1 - July 7. Visit here for more information ..

Our potluck covers 2 states and 3+ cities, as we include family from Racine, Kenosha, on down to Chicago. We meet in Racine on the first Sunday of each month and invite you to join us! We've had a wonderful turnout recently and the more of you that show up, the better it gets!

The park is exceptionally nice. There is a huge amount of open grassy space to chill and for the kids to play. Bring a blanket to lounge on. There’s also a pavilion close by with picnic tables to put the food on, as well as mini-hiking trails in a small patch of woods.

If you plan on traveling through the area in the summer (or live nearby) you really should stop by & hang out! If you are able to bring a dish you can pretty much bring whatever you like. The focus is traditionally vegetarian, but there are plenty of us omnivores as well. Anything different or creative adds more flavor and color to the whole experience, so let your freak flags fly!!

weather permitting, ignore all rumors of cancellation
