| Ayeka is crown princess of Jurai.After Yosho's dissapearence she was next in line for the throne.She has been learning Jurai customs and law all her life.She is polite and proper.She is also Ryoko's cheif rival for Tenchi's affections. Ayeka has two gurdians which go where she goes.The may not be able to be physically with her all the but she can summon them when she wants.These guardians have protected the highest rancking people of Jurai since ancient time. Being of Jurai royalty,Ayeka has access to the power of Jurai,she channels it through her tiara into laser blasts.The tiara act much like a weaker version of Tenchi's sword and it can only control her own ship. Ayeka's father is Azuza,the king of Jurai,her mother is Misaki,a mentally unstable queen of Jurai.She has a sister called Sasami who is another major charactor of the series.Incidently,because of Tenchi's Jurai blood,she is Tenchi's aunt.(This doesn't occur in Tench Universe) In the OAV Ayeka's ship crashed to Earth in episode 2.She was searching for her brother,Yosho,who she was betrothed to,through Jurai tradition this isn't looked apon as it is on Earth and it is accepted.While searching for Yosho,she found Ryoko,who she felt was responsible for Yosho's disappearence in the first place.She captured Ryoko and Tenchi.When they both escaped Tenchi used the Master Key to cause the ship to fall to Earth.This was much the same as Tenchi Universe but Ryoko and Ayeka fought in space using their ships. |
