What is a matrix?
A matrix is a way to present data.
It is very similar to a table. A example of a matrix is shown below.
A matrix shows information by using columns and rows.
If there are an equal amount of rows to columns, then the matrix is called a SQUARE MATRIX.
The reason that there are matrices and not just tables is that with matrices, you can change the matrix very simply. For example, if you wanted to see how much food, money and debt that you would have if you doubled the family size.
You could find out what the amounts are for triple the family size and etc...
