Hiroshima

I was told that, as an American, I have some sort of moral obligation to visit Hiroshima.
I'm still not really sure what that was supposed to mean...

I just really love this shot because it was so hard to take. Aya (ex-gf) has taught Bailey a "kiss" or "chuu" command, but he does it really quickly.

Aya, Bailey, and friends at the Dog Park off of the densha-dori. Bailey is extremely jealous and protective of his mommy

One of the most famous sites in Hiroshima, unfortunately, lies at the north end of the Peace Park: the Genbaku-dome. It's slightly eerie that the Heiwa-koen is so beautiful, yet commemorates such horror. The ferry seemed to be the only thing moving in this frame; even the people moved slightly slower.

From closer, the A-bomb dome - now a UNESCO World Heritage site. Notice the structural supports throughout the structure.
Hiroshima, particularly the Park, was filled with many American tourists.
The Japanese are particularly adept at picking out a hapa; Americans have much to learn, but at least it let us walk on by without being bothered by them.

From the Museum to the Dome.
Artistic point: The line of architectural sight. I tried to remain as true to this line as possible when taking this shot.
