Screenplays
These are all full-length feature film scripts. Screenwriting is a different animal, and a lot of fun.
Fence Money (2001)
I've always loved baseball, especially old-time baseball, so I wrote this script about Joe Rogan, a man who was born to play ball. After his first spectacular season in the thirties, he leaves baseball to care for a child he didn't anticipate having. When his son is old enough to try out for a club, Joe fulfills his dream: on his own, and through his son.
Dramatic Writing (2000)
This screenplay is a semi-autobiographical work. My time at Purchase College in the Dramatic Writing was nothing if not dramatic, and all of the humor and frustration and betrayal is documented in this Alexander Payne-esque work.
Responsibility (1997)
Perhaps my best piece of juvenalia, this is a script of a troubled young man who resists learning to love until it's too late. It's a tragic work, but beautiful in its simplicity.
Michelob House (1996)
I wrote this in the vein of a USA Up All Night movie. It's just a fun college romp. Animal House--Ken style.
Meshuggah Like Me (1997)
A fun screenplay in which a guy trying to break into screenwriting finds an unorthodox way: He pretends he's Jewish.
Sitmusicom:
Too Many Girls (2003)
This is just an old-fashioned musical combined with the conventions of a sitcom. This is a lot of fun.
