From time to time, people have deigned to say nice things about my
writing, and they shall be collected on this page.
Paul McManus was kind enough to write a letter to the editor of Bewildering Stories to compliment my story "No Tears for Death". He said:
“No Tears For Death” hit that perfect point where horror and science-fiction work in disturbing harmony. The build-up and explanation were brilliantly crafted so that I forgot to try to predict the end — a sure sign of a skillful short story writer.
Near the end, the sentence “An old, rickety man in a body that would live forever” really seemed to focus the disturbance and horror of the piece. Excellent!
Regarding my short story, "Botticelli Mane":
"There's nice writing here..."" --Editorial
Assistant at F&SF.
Regarding my album, This Far:
"I'm really impressed by the style and lyrics! They're short,
but they're wonderful. In the veins of Rufus Wainwright or Barenaked Ladies.
The first song you could seriously sell to a company if it were a little
longer." --Kris Rusho, playwright and archaeologist.
Regarding my poetry:
"As for the poem it's self...You have brought tears to my eyes...This
is astoundingly exquisite, rich in its beautiful sadness...
Wonderful writing..." --Joatamos from wuzupgod.com.
