There is a Un-tapped National Resource here in the United States of America.
It is the homeless!! And it is time that we use up this resource. I have written a homeless report . (To view report click the link at the bottom of this page). In it is a breakdown of the different types of people who are homeless and other interesting facts. Just about every community in the U.S. have this resource living right in their backyard.
I see the problem as the solution to the problem. If someone defecates on people's property, then we need more public bathrooms. If someone breaks into a building to sleep out of the un-safe environment, then we need more shelters. If someone is homeless because they lost their jobs, then they need more jobs.
That's where you come in. You can make the difference.
We at the People From Bondage Ministry are starting a job referral /job placement service for the homeless in our area in North County, San Diego County, CA.
We are calling it "The Street Connection". The Street Connection will be a place where employers and the homeless can contact us for work and workers. The homeless that you see on the street corners with the "I will work for food sign" who are possibly just (well there is no since in calling names) only represents about 6% to 10% of the homeless population. Please don't judge the majority by those few individuals. There is a person out there that just right for your business. By hiring them you create a win-win situation.
