Date Track TV
2/11/01 Daytona International Speedway (Bud Shootout*) (16/5)

2/15/01 Daytona International Speedway (Gatorade 125s**) (2nd Race:12/3)
*Jeff started 12th in the 2nd 125, and drafted up to the front with Dale Earnhardt Jr. to finish 3rd, securing the 8th starting position for the Daytona 500
2/18/01 Daytona International Speedway (8/19)
*Jeff started 8th, and ran a very strong race before being caught up in the massive crash on the backstretch with roughly 25 laps to go, triggered when Tony Stewart, Ward Burton, and Robby Gordon got together. Jeff's CITGO team made repairs and he limped home 19th, one lap down.
2/25/01 North Carolina Speedway (5/37)
*This race ran 52 laps before rain hit, and the event resumed on Monday the 26th. Jeff qualified 5th and was one of the fastest cars on the track when he got loose in turn 3 early in the race, and knocked the toe-in out of alignment. After lengthy repairs in the pits, Jeff struggled to a 37th place finish dropping him and the 99 Team to 33rd in points.
3/4/01 Las Vegas Motor Speedway (28/39)
*Jeff started the race in 28th and after a strong run in the Busch race on Saturday (6th), there were high expectations for this race. But unfortunately, Jeff got loose on Lap 2, and made heavy contact with the Turn 2 wall. Jeff was dumbfounded as to why he got loose. He said there was no reason, as he was off the gas taking it easy, and the back end just came around. After lengthy repairs in the garage, Jeff returned to finish in 39th, staying in the lower portion of the points. Jeff and the CITGO Supergard team seem to be having some trouble figuring out this new tire. Testing is in order!
