| Beta Cygni is another name for the star Albireo in the Constellation Cygnus. It is a double star. One star is blue and the other is gold. It has recently been named the offical star of the University of California at Berkeley. NOTE: The Mars rovers (pictured above right) are still going!! I have a blog now: http://www.betacygniblog.blogspot.com December 2008: Cal didn't make it to the Rose Bowl, but they dominated Miami of FL in the Emerald Bowl 24-17! Go Bears!!! |
