The information contained within these pages has been drawn from a number of sources. I started to research my family name after I was contacted by Robert Orrin Broddle, Kansas, USA, in 1997, whilst he was trying to trace his family roots in the United Kingdom. I am grateful to Robert for allowing me to include in this website the information that he obtained. I have continued with the research into my family name and the results, so far, are shown here. If you have details of family members that you are willing to share with others then please let me know and I will include it in our website.

Details of persons included in these pages has been taken from UK and USA Census returns between 1841 and 1950. The General Register Office Index (GRO) in the UK has been searched for persons bearing the BRODDLE name in any of the various spellings. Birth records between 1837 and 1937 have been viewed. Marriage records between 1837 and 1950 and Death records between 1840 and 1948 have been checked. Parish Registers for appropriate parishes in Lincolnshire have been viewed, where these are available and legible. Information is also included from the International Genealogical Index (IGI)
