you might expect that after all this time things might improve. But
whilst all sorts of spin is put on the facts nothing seems to change. Young
doctors may be going down a new road - no longer gods condescending to
meet our woes , but human beings as fallible as we ourselves are - and
prepared to admit that fact. The NHS Litigation Authority issued a circular
stating that it is not acceptable for doctors to hide when mistakes
are made . Asking doctors to consider apologising and offering explanations
to individuals . *********** The law protects doctors
, even incompetent consultants later struck off for gross negligence.
200 women complained about the self styled 'fastest gynaecologist
in the Southeast ' . In view of the long history of women damaged
under the surgical scalpel it might be advisable to institute tests to
confirm the psycholgical fitness of male surgeons to operate in the gynaecological
field. How many may suffer from concealed psychosexual disorders ???.
***** £80,000 was awarded to the husband of Gillian Allen who
died of cancer two years after surgeon David Baumber called her a " silly
woman , who read too many women's books and wathched too much television
" . He dismissed the lump in her breast as a pocket of fatty tissue. It
was cancer that later spread to her liver and killed her. Latest
on this is that 40 of Mr Baumber's patients have been recalled after concern
over the post-operative care of two who later died. Mr Baumber was told
not to report for work , and has since resigned. ************* The
Medical Royal Colleges are toothless tigers -" cosy clubs promoting
the interest of doctors while claiming to protect the public against bad
and incompetent practice". This opinion must be granted weight as it comes
from the president of one of the colleges. He accuses the colleges of "
lacking the power , and perhaps the stomach to discipline those senior
members of their fraternity no longer functioning competently". He
concludes that the colleges must decide , when a conflict of interests
arises , they exist to further the interests of the patients - or the interests
of the doctors. ************* The Medical Ombundsman , M. Buckley , has
said that it is not acceptable, that in cases of complaint , the
GP " can just shrug his shoulders and walk away " . It is against
the rules that such GP's be named , but Mr Buckley could change the
rules and name the recalcitrants - with a disasterous effect [we
hope ] on their living. *********** It may be ok to put a spin on political
matters ? - but what happens when the spin can affect life and death ?
- on medical matters one would say that itt is no good !. A highly
contagious germ ' serratia maracescens ' with lethal effects , killed a
baby and infected four others in Derby City general hospital. Consultant
D. Bullock said " this is a localised , sporadic problem --
the chances of other babies being infected are minute " . Or
is this another case of 'Don't panic the Public ' syndrome. *************
The Pharmaceutical Giants - insist that prices of drugs must be kept high
so that they can afford the research costs . But what happens when
the drugs they produce are too dear for the NHS to prescribe?. Clozapine
is 20 times more expensive than older less effective drugs , used to treat
schizophrenia. Many , or most , of consultants in this field are given
strict rationing in the use of this drug [77% at last count] . Why bother
to research and produce it if it cannot be used ?. *************** James
Green needed a blood transfusion for jaundice four days after his birth
, at Princess Alexandra Hospital , Harlow Essex. Due to a name mix
up he was given ' A ' negative rather than ' O ' positive blood. As a result
he had convulsions, heart failure and acute anaemia - the tragic consequence
was serious and permanent brain damage . The authority admit liability
and the only question is - how many million pounds are paid out.
*********** Drugs are not about curing people -- they are about making
money. British Biotech's Marimastat's [cancer drug ] , trials were
badly designed. The drug may be an excellent one with high chances of success
but Biotech's shares, once at 300p now trade at 30.25p . The trials have
been cancelled and the market has given the thumbs down verdict on the
basis that it will not make millions of pounds for investors. Only
money is important -- not people. *************** "HEALTH
WHICH" has reported that allergy testing is both dangerous and a
waste of money . We have always said that allergies were simply a
supersensitivity , a ferment of the immune system , due to inappropriate
raw drugging by the orthodox/allopathic NHS medical system. If you
eliminate the substance that provokes the allergy then after a short
period some other effect/substance will provoke the allergy. It is
the supersensitivity that must be treated and only therapies such as Homoeopathy/accupuncture
can properly do that.!! ************** If you are not satisfied with your
body - think long and hard about plastic surgery --- and check the
credentials of the surgeon !!. An ex BA Pilot had an op to "uncircumcise
" him. After the op and his discharge , he had to have emergency surgery
to remove "dead and dying bits " of his gangrenous penis. Experts said
his state was "gross genital mutilation " and he was awarded £800,000
damages against the original surgeon John Pryor.***************
Ear grommets , like ECT [Electro Convulsive Therapy] , are an outdated
method that should have died a natural death years ago. Yet still there
are backward looking doctors who recommend and apply these techniques.
Glue Ear , Cystic Fibrosis and many other catarrhal conditions are a result
of Neisseria Catarrahalis. The Neisseria family include N. Pharyngis
, N. Flavescens , N. Meningococcus & N. Gonococcus. As the World
Health Organisation has declared gonorrhea [N.Gonococcus] out of control
, it is not surprising that the efforts to ' wipe out ' gonorrhea have
made the neisseria family mutate and created the gluey substances we name
'glue ear ' & 'cystic fibrosis' . We did it to ourselves !!!.
Will the human race ever learn ???. ********** Mycoplasma Pneumoniae is
neither virus nor bacteria !!! surprise , surprise . Scientists have already
pointed out that these organisms are madly swapping bits of genetic material
in order to survive , under the pressure of indescriminate drug therapy.
Mutation is the order of the day and it is high time that new drugs had
to prove not only that they don't harm individual humans But also that
they do not exert evolutionary pressure on oreganisms to mutate and thus
damage both the race of humanity and its environment, ************
Glaxo have this new wonder drug -- zanamavir -- which is part of
a new generation of anti influenza "neuraminidase inhibitors ,
which interfere with the life cycle of the virus --" . What mutational
pressure will this apply to a fairly simple virus and , perhaps , turn
it into a pandemic killer ?. Glaxo expect to make millions -- possibly
billions from this product and one can see that their shareholders need
it -- but do we as a race need it?? .**********

*********** The NHS has agreed to pay more than £4,000,000
damages to the family of a US banker who was clumsily intubated in Westminster
Hospital. A procedure you can see in most episodes of "E.R." -- looks pretty
simple. However the banker was starved of oxygen and severely brain damaged
and left in a vegetative state until his death in 1991. **************
How do you rate the I.Q. of a person who doesn't know the difference between
HRT [ hormone replacement therapy] Pills and birth control pills.

HRT to a young woman who asked for the Birth Pill. She became pregnant
, had an abortion and still no one realised what the problem was until

pretend I hadn't done it " In what kind of ' alice in wonderland/virtual
reality ' do these people live. Is this where spin doctors have brought

story goes back to 1979. when the U.S Air Force medical records were falsified
. The cancer inducing and genetic defect creation leading to birth defects
of Agent Orange as it affected 1,000 military personnel , were down played
and thousands of Vietnam Vets " have not been compensated because of the
slanted conclusions " said R Albanese one of the scientists who designed
the study. His conscience made him give up the facts [ about

asked for , and was given , assurance that her ovaries would not be removed.
She awoke to be told that " everything had gone well and that her ovaries
, although healthy , had been removed " . The hearing on serious

Dr Shipman who was accused of murdering 4 elderly women and forging
the will of at least one , so that he could benefit , Has now had two further
murders added to the charge. More exhumations are in progress!!. *********
Feelings DO affect health. Scientists measured the effects of pleasant
and unpleasant experience on antibody immunoglobins [sIAgA] Prof.
Warburton of Reading University measured levels after pleasant experience
and found that in all cases increases occurred. Some as high as 60% after
3 hours . The body is NOT just a fleshly mechanism. *************
Also if you are unhappy , or have been given immunosuppressants - vaccines
or antibiotics [ which may suppress symptoms - but not cure] then the very
water you drink may undermine your health. Most unboiled tap water contains
cryptosporidium which may give rise to gastro enteritis or symptoms like
irritable bowel syndrome. So in theory you could get a flu jab to protect
you and because it lowers your immune system - end up with irritable bowel
syndrome, I think I'd take my chance with flu !. ************ In the early

warned against suppressing it and called it " Diffuse Cancerosis " . Now

Roaccutane are about to be sued as the drug has been linked to more than
12 cases of suicide. Stephen McCambridge has had his life " turned upside
down " when he made two attempts at suicide , beat up his wife and
broke up his family. ---- When will dermatologists and others learn the
basic rule of homoeopathy that the body will always throw ills onto the
skin in order to prevent more deep seated illness taking hold. ************

are either to be banned or put under strict review. The European Commission

in their bank account as the Pharmaceutical Industry frantically opposes
these measures [ which are designed to keep us - Joe Public alive and healthy
]. [2] Food bugs hit about 10,000,000 people a year , a devastating
Government funded study has revealed. 5 years work has gone into the study
and now there are political rows going on about the obvious need to set
up the long promised Food Standards Agency. Proper supervision of food
production could save victims and the NHS about £743,000,000.

Dr J. Boschler got £22,500 by pretending his patients were guinea
pigs in drug trials. The good doctor forged consent forms and submitted
false medical records for nifedipine & fluvoxamine. **************
Family Doctor G. Walmsley was convicted of 10 charges of indecent assault
on " young and vulnerable women " between 1980 & 1997. Some at Leeds
and the rest at Tun bridge Wells from 1986 to 1997. [trust me I'm
a doctor !!!] *********** The ongoing trail of surgical destruction
left by gynecological surgeon R Ledward . More than 100 women have come
forward & an extra 24 have have been referred to consultants for investigation
and treatment. One needed 14 further operations & some women in their
20's were left infertile after the removal of womb and ovaries WITHOUT
CONSENT [trust me , I'm a doctor!!!]. *********** Medical Negligence 12
years ago , during a minor op to remove a birthmark, caused severe brain
damage to 5 yr. old Helen Edwards . A tube had been incorrectly placed
in her throat starving her of oxygen during a heart attack. Consultant
Anaesthetist T. Ogg had damages of £3,900,000 awarded against
him . ************* The coroner said that a four month old
girl came to a "Violent and shocking end " in an intensive care unit ,
after an operation to cure a congenital heart defect. Hannah Shepherd died
because her organs had been damaged and the blood filter in the circulation
unit failed and all her blood spurted out and Hannah died instantly

, Dean of London's biggest medical school , said in a speech in the USA
- "MEDICINE USED TO BE SIMPLE, INEFFFECTIVE & RELATIVELY SAFE

Ministers believe the public is not adequately protected from incompetent
Health Practitioners who put lives at risk or sexually assault patients
during treatment. Many professional governing bodies can "deregister" or
"strike off " members but can not prevent them from setting up and practicing
in different ways - a clinical psychology professor who had " inappropriate
sexual relations with several patients " As he is not required to
Register in order to practice he can return to clinical practice
in either the NHS or privately. ************* The
case of Deborah Parry the nurse convicted of murder , and now working at
private nursing home in Surrey is one of the reasons the government is
using the so called ' Henry V111 clause ' normally only used in dire
emergencies , to rewrite the NHS Modernization Bill. Considering
the dreadful state of Medicine [ as shown on these pages ] we do indeed
have a dire emergency!!!. And Nov. is not yet over.

Oct., 98 --- Health care rationing is official ...Prof. K.
Sikora of the Imperial College referring to cancer drug Taxol said
"It gives you probably an extra 6 months of quality life , costing £12,000
... that 6 months can be really worthwhile , but maybe someone of 85 does
not really care and maybe society does not care either. " ********
FPTP [first past the post] normally refers to politics but
in medicine it means fame , prizes and big bucks. Prof. C. Barnard
was made for life after the first heart transplant and now a team has transplanted
a hand . Is it ethical - do ends justify means. Should medicine be
about money and fame , or should it be about common humanity. **************
Vaccination causes illness !! At the moment only accepted in dogs !! A
survey of 4,000 dogs being given annual vaccines found higher than normal
levels of allergic reactions , epilepsy , brain damage and distemper. Of
the dogs in the survey over 66% became ill within 3 months of injection.
Might this not also apply to children. But will anyone do a survey ?, I
doubt it. **************** Incompetent Surgeon Rodney Ledward has been
struck off -- may we never see his like again [ but you wonder how many
like him are still around ] .************* ADR [ adverse drug reaction
] , new research indicates that up to 20,000 deaths per year may be due
to adverse drug reaction and 5% of all hospital admissions are due to ADR.
How much money would the NHS save if it did not give drugs to people and
kill them , also how much would be saved in hospital treatment of those
who survive. In the USA - ADR is the fourth leading cause of death -- after
heart disease , cancer and stroke. Come on Dobson --- buy less drugs
and save more money !!!. **************** 110 road deaths and 1,600
accidents could be due to drivers taking drugs prescribed by doctors. Tranquilizers
such as Atavan , Librium , benzodiapines, psychotropic medication
etc. , figure in a report in the Lancet.

****************** Doctors are writing 30,000,000 prescriptions a year
for drugs that are unsuitable or have dangerous side effects , also they
may not work or there is a better more effective medication on the market.
Pain killers " of doubtful value and which may cause drowsiness ,
nausea , vomiting , constipation and can lead to dependence. !" On
this count alone the cost is almost £30,000,000 and when a total
cost is calculated it runs up to £100,000,000. Come on
Dobson --- buy less drugs and run better hospitals, ***************
Bryan Atkinson redecorated his house to ensure his wife's comfort , then
arranged his own funeral . He was at the end of 22 treatments for terminal
cancer - a tumor the "size of an orange " . He was then
told that he did not have cancer , but an inflamed bowel. Somewhat miffed
he now intends to sue . The lesson from this is that if you've had cancer
[ or anything else ] diagnosed - don't give up hope !!!. *****************
More news on the Bristol [heartless] Heart surgeons - serious consideration
is being given to a 5 yearly 'MOT' to test the skills of surgeons -- the
Senate of Surgery in Gt. Britain & Ireland backs it , we can only hope
that the 'backwoods consultants ' don't wreak it !!. Also the Bristol
Heart Children's Action Group say that they know of 200/250 cases of brain
damage and death. Not a pretty picture !!!. ********************* Geneticists
have now figured out to make a fruit fly grow an eye on its kneecap. Now
all they have to do is get genetic material to grow an eye where an eye
should be !!!. Computer/Maths have got involved in the generation of complex
sets of forms from simple sets of rules. Such forms as cloud formations
waves and vortices have been called "SELF ORGANISED " -- " which
implies that patterns do NOT arise in response to a detailed set of instructions
& is not imposed by some outside force " . Come on boys - you'll

& ova develop into a being they generate a community and that all cells
communicate [apoptosis] . This non material vitality ensures that what

Sept, 98 ---US Senate committee stated that troops with Gulf War Syndrome
were not exposed to nerve gas or chemical wepons! . This means that multiple
jab vaccines & anti nerve gas tablets caused the condition -- unless
they are going to pretend that Gulf War Syndrome doesn't exist and sweep
the whole mess under the carpet!!. ************** Latest in the saga of
the heartless heart surgeons . The NHS Litigation Authority will settle
claims speedily to AVOID A LONG COURT BATTLE over the 'death of the innocents
' -- 33 cases of babies & one adult --- whose lives were terminated
under the care of surgeons Wisheart & Dhasmana , in Bristol. *************
The Govermnent's CMO is to write to all GP's to persuade them to cut out
prescriptions for antibiotics. Probably upset the Pharmeceutical Companies
if he got too definate about it !!. Antibiotics are prescribed at the rate
of 50,000,000 doses a year for sore throats - although it's known that
they have no effect on viral infections and the abuse and overuse has led
to the creation of superbugs such as MRSA and SuperTuberculosis and many
more!!. Bacteria & virus swap bits of DNA to ward off antibiotics and
we create our own downfall !!. ******************** Kissing communicates
more than just affection. It communicates Herpes [inc. sub group genital
herpes ] and now a Norwegian study shows that it can communicate meningitis
[Neisseria meningitidis] which is part of the neisseria family which includes
Neisseria gonoccocus [ gonorrhea ] . The WHO declared gonorrhea 'out of
control ' -- due largely to the efforts to ' wipe it out ' with antibiotics
. Thus creating SuperGonoccocus. You may not get gonorrhea from toilet
seats - but you probably can if someone is trying to lick your tonsils
. ****************** Junior Doctors -- they try to kill them with overwork
while teaching them an antiquated system of medicine - then they wonder
why they drink like fishes [ 93% drink alcohol & 60% exceeded safe
limits ] ------and consume fair old quantities of drugs such as cannabis
[ 35% men 19% women ] , mescalin, LSD , ecstasy , amyl nitrite , cocaine
& amphetamines [aprox 10% ]. ------ In a team of two anaesthetists
& three medico's " there is a 50% risk that one of the five will be
incompetent " . ER was never like this. ******The biggest 'hot potato'
in health care is COST. The main causes are people , drugs & expensive
hitec machines. Endless test on hitec machines fail to detect the cause
of patient illness. Create a new class of junior consultant on about £40,000
a year hours limited to 48 a week. Shuffle existing consultants sideways
onto piecework contacts with an upper limit of say £20,000 &
all the private work they can do. Drug bills must be limited and Viagra
may be the watershed where the pharmaceuticals can no longer call the tune.
Will Dobson chicken out or will he call the bluff ?. Sure the pharmaceuticals
finance research. But they direct where the work is focussed, which is
always on items potentially profitable to themselves. They loot billions
from the NHS and grumble all the way to the bank!!. Time for a clean slate
,money should be diverted from shareholders to nurses, junior doctors &
patient care. ************** Whisleblowing seems to be gathering momentum.
Consultant Gynacologist Rodney Ledward did a hysterectomy so incompetently
that his stitches caused her to haemorrage . Nine hours after completing
the op he was recalled to deal with aprox two ltrs of blood that had leaked
into her abdomen. The patient was in shock and did not find out until later
that Dr Ledward had removed her ovaries without permission. The least of
Dr Ledward's sins is the accusation that he was " dishonest in search of
personal gain " , the others include " clinical & surgical incompetence
, inappropriate delegation to junior doctors ; lack of involvement when
patients developed complications. "
