27.12. Rölli became a father of six active puppies on 22 December. Yola - the mother - and her two boys and 4 girls are all doing fine.
21.12. We wish all our friends a Very Merry Christmas and Prosperious Year 2005!

Elina, Pertti, Jogi, Carmen, Coco & Rölli

13.12. We had a very relaxing weekend in Oulu. Rölli took part in agility competitions and the rest of the time we enjoyed the hospitality and company of Miia, Nasu, Pumpuli and especially Retku. Thanks Miia for hosting us!

On Friday we received very sad news from Jyväskylä. Cola - Rölli's grand mother - passed away at the tender age of 15,5 years. Our hearts go out for Sari in her very enormous loss!

9.12. Metku and Caro took part in the Winner's show in Helsinki on Saturday. Both of them received an excellent with pleasing judgements and behaved very well in the show ring.

Rello has also attended an agility competition during the weekend.

At home Jogi had an accident and injured his right hind leg quite badly. Healing will for sure take several months but let's hope the time will help.

29.11. Puppy news available...
26.11. The autumn holiday is over. The most important news is that Coco was spayed during our holiday and is recovering well from the operation.

Rölli, Rello and Caro took part in agility competitions during last weekend.

I have added new posing photos of Rölli, Coco and Metku.

8.11. Great news from Caro! She run her second clean run in agility yesterday in Kerava. One more to go to the class 2. Well done girls!

We spent a relaxing weekend in Joensuu with Kessu's family. Thanks Minna, Pera, Pinja and Miska for such a nice weekend! However, the results from agility were not anything to brag about...

Two weeks ago a nice girl visited Rölli. Hopefully, Yola will have puppies during the Christmas time.

18.10. Rölli did two nice rounds in agility yesterday evening.
4.10. Great news from Roosa! She competed in her very first tracking competition yesterday winning her class with 277 points. Congratulations Roosa & Nona!!! We are all very proud of you.

Rölli's eyes have been checked. Everything was in order!

20.9. Coco was placed 4th in the district championship in agility !!! Not bad at all considering that this was her first competition in the class 3. : ) I'm so proud of my little one!

And the bad news are that Metku's hip scores arrived : ( No puppies for my dream dog...

6.9. Now it finally happened! Coco run a beautiful clean run yesterday in Jyväskylä receiving her last ticket to the class 3. All the work has been worth it! Thank you Pertti and Marjatta for believing in us, and all the members of out training team for encouraging us!
30.8. Quite a weekend... Rölli was shown in two dog shows receiving one CC and one reserve CC and surprising us all. Thank you Jenni for presenting him so well!

Good news also from the members of our training team.
- Oona (the aussie) reached her show champion tile on Sunday. Congratulations Anne & Oona!
- Woitto (the kelpie) got his last ticket to the class 3 on Sunday. Way to go Tiina & Woitto!

24.8. Nasu tuli Puhin vierelle. "Puh?" hän kuiskasi. "No mitä?" vastasi Puh. "Ei mitään" sanoi Nasu ja otti Puhin käpälästä kiinni. "Tarkistin vain, että olet siinä ystäväni".

Rest in peace, our beloved Senta. Thank you for the last 11 years - each day has been so precious to us. Nobody can ever take your place. You will always be in our hearts ... your paw print has been tattooed on our lives. We will all miss you so much!

16.8. Quite a day to Pertti and Rölli yesterday in agility. Two courses, two clear runs and two wins with brilliant course times. Congratulations! The storm warning has been given!

Also Coco did nice work during the weekend. Unfortunately, she has lost her speed during the heat holiday and we spent far too much time on slalom and A frame.

I have also added plenty of new agility photos on Rölli's, Coco's, Rello's and Caro's page. Thanks Maija for lovely photos.

9.8. The summer holiday is over and I'm back to work again.

During the last month I have received both good and bad news. First of all I would like to send my deepest condolences to Chris, Barry & Blair in NZ for loosing Dougal. We will all miss him so much!

The good news come from the agility fields:
* Congratulations Rello & Tarja for the last clear round in the class 1. Welcome to the class 2!
* Congratulations Tiina & Woitto (from our training team) for the last ticket to the class 2 and for the first ticket in the class 2!
* Congratulations Caro & Minna for the very first clear round in the class 1!
* Coco also run one more clear round in class 2. She still needs one more to go to the class 3.

Also plenty of other agility and dog show results are available.

9.7. I'll be on holidays till 9th of August and during that time will not be reached by e-mail. I wish all a very sunny summer holidays (and sunny winter days for those down under)!

I have updated the agility results page.

Also some new photos of Rölli, Coco and Kessu are available.

6.7. Congratulations to 2 years old Copy litter: Caro, Roosa, Metku and Kessu! We wish you lots of creamy birthday cake and many more active years! (And plenty of patience and quick legs to you owners : ))
5.7. We are very proud of the results our training team members achieved last weekend in Agirotu in Kotka. Congratulations
* Tiina & Woitto for the big win in Open Class!
* Jari & Nala for the big win in Agirotu!
* Kaisa & Ada for the last ticket to the world championship qualifying competition!
* Merja & Santtu for the last ticket to the class 3!
2.7. Carmen scared us hell of a lot during the Midsummer. She had a very angry inflammation which took her into very bad condition. Luckily it's all behind us now and Carmen is still with us enjoying her spot in the sun.
1.7. Coco's, Rölli's and Caro's agility results from Hailuoto, Helsinki and Lappeenranta are available.
21.6. Caro competed in agility on Saturday.

Merja & Santtu from our training team got their second ticked to the class 3. Well done! One more to go...

16.6. Rölli was character tested last weekend.

Kessu was shown in a dog show in Jämsä.

Mikki - the sire of the Copy litter - won the individual tracking competition with 280 points on Saturday. He was also a part of the border collie team, which won the Finnish breed championship. Congratulations Reijo and Mikki!

And finally great news from our agility training team. Anne and Oona won the second class with a clear run on Saturday. That was their last ticket to the 3rd and highest class! Way to go Anne and Oona. Also Tiina and Woitto earned their second ticked to second class. Well done Tiina and Woitto!

8.6. Rello's agility results for the weekend are available.
7.6. Coco was finally placed second with a clear run in agility. She still needs two more to go up to the third class. Rölli also did two breathtaking courses...

Roosa started her obedience career with an excellent result of 188 points. She also won the class. Way to go Roosa & Nona!

1.6. A busy agility weekend behind...

Plenty of good results were done by our training team. Congratulations Leena & Kenkku (4 times clear run), Merja & Santtu (2 times clear run and one 5 fault course), Anne & Oona (one clear run and two times 5 fault course), Kaisa & Ada (one clear run + the first win in the class 3 and one 5 fault course), Tiina & Woitto (one clear run and one 5 fault course), Johanna & Bosse (two times 5 fault course), Jari & Nala (one 5 fault course) and Jenni & Chiqi (one 5 fault course).

And again the results don't tell the whole truth about our own dogs. Coco worked very well the whole weekend. We achieved one clear run, one 10 point result and two disqualified courses with only one extra jump from the course. The time is certainly coming up to Rölli & Pertti who did very promising courses the whole weekend. Also Rello had one very nice 5 fault course.

24.5. Again lots of news available...

First of all, my deepest condolences to my very dear friend Elena for loosing her best friend Olga yesterday evening. Napukka will now run free on the other side of the rainbow - without pain.

We have been quite active in dog sports this weekend. Especially the youngsters have shown a lot of potential. Kessu was shown for the very first time in a dog show. He received Excellent and was placed the 4th best dog! Well done Minna & Kessu!

Caro and Minna did very promising work in agility. Also Rölli, Rello and Coco attended agility competitions during the weekend.

18.5. Great news from Roosa. She passed her behavior test yesterday in a very strict test where only three out of nine dogs passed the test. Congratulations Nona and Roosa! The door to the working dog trials is open!
3.5. Agility results from the last weeked.
27.4. A very active weekend in agility with Rölli, Rello, Caro and Coco and in dog shows with Metku. Luckily, the results don't tell the whole truth. We are actually quite satisfied with Rölli's and Coco's disqualified courses. : )

Congratulations to our agility training group members Anne and Oona and Merja and Santtu for the last tickets to class 2!!!

21.4. A new beautiful photo of Metku has been added to her page. Also a photo from the Lappeenranta Dog Show is available below.
13.4. What an incredible Easter! Don't know where to start...

We started our Easter holiday with a very pleasant visit to Kessu and his family in Joensuu. Thanks again Minna, Pera, Pinja and Miska for taking such a good care of us!

On Friday we had a very good day in agility. For the first time ever I run two clear rounds on a same day with Coco!!! The extra time from the second course was due to the 10 extra seconds we spent on the two A-frames making sure they were done properly. Rölli did two quite reasonable courses, too.

We were also very proud of all the other members of our training group! Anne and Oona made two clear rounds earning two tickets to the class 2. Congratulations!!! Johanna and Bosse as well as Tiina and Woitto made two good rounds (5 and 10 points) and Merja and Santtu did a very nice work in the agility course.

On Saturday Carmen celebrated her 10th birthday. Congratulations granny and all her littermates in NZ, especially Bonney! Lots of love to Chris, Barry and Blair whithout who I would never had had a chance to own this soulmate of mine! And greetings to Dougal "the daddy". I'm so grateful Carmen is still in such a good shape despite of the diabetes and all the bad luck she has had with her knees.

On the very same day I had lots of fun with Senta the soon to be 11 years old Nova Scotia Duck Tolling Retriever of my parents. I had promised her, that she'll have her share of the fun in the show rings. She surprised us all by really having lots of fun in the show ring and by being placed the 3rd best bitch of her breed!!!

But this was not all at all...

Yesterday it was Metku's turn to be shown in Lappeenranta dog show. When watching the judging of the border collie dogs it did cross my mind that this would most likely be the first day of Metku's short show career that she'll be sent out of the ring with only the red ribbon. Out of 10 dogs only two received the pink ribbon. Luckily I was wrong! Metku cleared the table by being the Best of Breed for the very first time of her life! Naturally, she also received her second CC.

But... even that was not enough. On top of everything Metku was placed 4th in Group!!! Something I have never experienced in Finland before. Not bad at all from Metku at the age of 1 year and 9 months. Congratulations Sari and Metku!!! And thank you Sari for loving the little monster so much! (Photo: Juho Talvitie, Koirauutiset)

And not to forget the very good news I received yesterday... Roosa has attended her very first sheep dog training session and Kessu his very first relay training session yesterday. Hopefully they had lots of fun there and we'll hear good news from these sports as well in the future!

29.3. Rölli's results from Mikkeli are now available.
15.3. First of all, thank you all for visiting my site! We have exceeded the limit of 5000 visitors!

Despite of the result, Rölli did a fine course in agility on Sunday. Whereas I had to drop out the course with Coco for the third time in the last four competetions due to a fault on the A frame. We have got a lot to do with that in the near future!

Luckily, I had a chance to run with my friend's australian kelpie Kenkku. Boy it did good to my self confidence! Thanks Leena and Kenkku for the possibility!

8.3. Kessu and Pertti surprised us all! They attended their very first racing class competition in sledge dog trials in Joensuu on Saturday. They were placed 5th in a very tough competition of 12 dogs beating e.g. all their club members. But the real surprise was that they were also crouned district champions 2004!!! Congratulations Pertti and Kessu!

Also some new agility results are available from the weekend's competitions.

1.3. Again new agility results available.

Caro started her agility career in Kotka yesterday. This time the closed tunnel proved to be a bit problematic for them, but otherwise it looked quite nice.

Rölli did a nice run in Joensuu and two good runs in Kotka. Thy were placed third in the jumping class. We are still waiting for the jackpot.

Coco has been quite wild in the A-frame recently. Again, two faults from it in Joensuu... and I decided to finish there. Yesterday, in Kotka she was a bit too obedient and we spent quite a few extra seconds there. But it was worth it! In stead we got two other faults : (

Kessu's health results have arrived. Unfortunately, they were not what we expected. The eyes and elbows were clear but there was some extra looseness in the hips. Luckily, the hipses were otherwise clear. We might consider x-raying him again in 1-2 years.

23.2. Some new agility results form Rello.
19.2. Roosa's official hip and elbow scores have arrived. Well done Roosa! She has also recovered brilliantly form the operation in which she was spayed and has returned back to training fields.
16.2. More results available...

Congratulations, Minna & Caro for excellent result in obedience yesterday. A ticket to class 2 was well earned! Caro has also started her agility career with a good result in unofficial competition on Saturday.

Pertti and Rölli made a good run in sledge dog trials on Saturday and were placed second in the hobby class.

9.2. Our little cute Kessu won his very first trophy in sledge dog trial in Iisalmi yesterday. Congratulations Pertti & Kessu!
26.1. Again more agility. This time the results were not so good. : ( But we did have a lot of fun anyways! We also saw Caro on Sunday. Looks that she is keeping Minna very busy. We are all hoping to see them competing both in agility and in obedience soon.
19.1. A weekend full of activity has passed. On Saturday we attended an agility competition in Kirkkonummi and on Sunday a sledge dog trial in Imatra where both Kessu and Rölli started their career. Nice work boys!
12.1. The first results for the year 2004. Congratulations Tarja and Rello for the most beautiful course!
