*Vash gets up from the bed, ready to attack Leon. Leon does his best to hold Vash back...Vash attackes Leon. Leon, while still able to, presses a button on his radio to alert Flint that he's in danger. Vash grabs and smashes the radio in his bare hands and throws it at the wall and it breaks apart further. Leon is about to be done for when Arrmaduke enters, sensing Leon's danger. Arrmaduke swats Vash with the broadside of his sword as not to cut him. Leon falls to the floor, but still alive, barely after having the life sqeezed out of him. Vash turns to Arrmaduke and they fight. Leon struggles to crawl out of danger. The battle rages on. Flint hear's the confrontation outside and breaks down the door and runs and scoops up Leon out of the way. Flint gets him to safety and helps Arrmaduke to contain Vash. Flint asks a weakened Leon what is going on and Leon tells him, Flint having a hard time understanding him. Flint gets the message and does help Arrmaduke in stopping Leon. Flint has to resort to shooting Vash almost til death to stop him. Flint breaks out a shotgun specially designed for him, that has ten times the power of a regular double barrel. Flint shoots Vash right above the waist. Vash falls hard yet still tries to defy them. Legolas is called upon to help. Jill drives Legolas to the scene. Arrmaduke kicks Vash, but his leg is grabbed onto and Arrmaduke results in swatting Vash with his sword. Legolas enters and within seconds inflicts Vash with four arrows to his arms, two to his shoulders, and four to his legs. Flint goes over to Leon, knowing that only he has the knowledge on the "new" Vash. Vash stops moving, but cringes in pain and frustration. Leon must use his plant powers to temporarily stop the pain and for a short time secure the broken bones he has sustained. Arrmaduke goes to see if Leon needs any help. Leon tells Arrmaduke that he can't use his arms to lift himself up off the floor. Arrmaduke picks Leon up and Jill drives them to the hospital. Leon musters up strength for his voice and tells Jill to stop immediately. Jill stops the vehicle. Leon tells Jill that he is the only one that can stabilize Vash, despite his condition.*

*Flint and Arrmaduke are in process of placing Vash on the bed, but then he begins to struggle again. Leon tells Jill to inject Vash with the inoculizer. Vash struggles while Jill does that. Legolas puts another arrow into Vash, barely missing where his heart is. Vash looses conscience. Flint and Arrmaduke pick Vash up and place him on the bed. Leon tells Jill to take off his shirt and flak jacket in order to put bandage around his ribs. Once again Leon concentrates his plant powers in his hands and arms so that he can work the machines. Leon detects foul play as a machine tells him about what the scientists did to Vash before he killed them. Leon discovers that while the scientists were supposedly reviving Vash, they put in some "danger genes" that severly altered his state of mind. Leon must do a very risky procedure that could mean the end of Vash for good if even one little thing is wrong. The procedure that Leon uses is what will be called the Chromosome Extraction Method. He must first use a highly sophisitcated machine that specifies chromosomes that contain the "danger genes" Luckily Leon knows that the scientists created double copies of key chromosomes in Vash. Leon also knows that he must put these chromosomes in the right way within one hour, or Vash will die. At a delecate proceedure Vash cringes in pain almost messing up the wholoe thing. Leon tells Jill to inoculize Vash once again. Vash struggles. Leon tells Jill to double the power of the inoculizer. Leon realizes that the majority of the "danger genes" lie in Vash's head. Vash lies still. Leon confronts this new dilema by coming up with another idea. Leon tells Flint and Arrmaduke to put Vash into a hollow conical machine. This machine specializes in various areas, in this case it will be used for what will be called "Cerebral Isotope Therapy". The doctors themselves created an isotope of a known element that has a half-life of 20 seconds. However, this isotope is very unstable if not handled properly. If exposed to air for example, it will react with the oxygen and hydrogen in the air and cause a three mile radius "air explosion", followed by this isotope acting as a catalyst to combine nitrogen atoms in the air which would spread twenty miles out and deprive all life of rich air. Another thing that Leon has to confront is the fact that there is a very limited quantity of this element. So Leon MUST be 100% perfect, or else part of KC will be dead. Despite all of this, Leon starts to perform the necessary procedures. Jill makes sure that Vash is well under inoculized. Shortly into it, Leon notices that his glucose level is deminishing because he starts to shake, so he asks Jill to give him an adrenaline boost. Now Leon is on a timer for himself. 45 minutes to go, and Leon has only completed 15% of the required reparation. 35 minutes left...and suddenly Leon yells out in pain. Arrmaduke is highly concerned about his friend. A dangerous amount of pressure is starting to push on his broken bones. Leon quickly uses the adrenaline that he was given to divert the pain for a short time. Vash remains still for the procedure. Leon asks Jill for another adrenaline shot, fully aware that too much of it will cause his body to go into shock. 20 minutes to go...Leon is dripping with sweat, his body using all of his reserves to concentrate on this very important procedure. *Vash, as a precaution, in inoculated to keep him still, but is dangerously near death from it. Leon realizes this so tells Jill to stop using the inoculizer and just use tranquilizer shots at low bursts. if needed. 10 minutes left...85% of the procedure completed. 5 minutes left 87.5% of the procedure completed. 2.5 minutes left...93% of the procedure completed. one minute and counting down...95%complete, a red alert signal goes off in the device to warn Leon. 43..42..41..97.6%complete. 21..20..19..98.99%complete. OH OOH!! THE STRESS!!! 10..9..8..99.24%complete, Leon shrieks out in pain once again as his broken bones are starting to give way...5..4..3..99.69%complete 2...1..................0.0001seconds left.....100%. Just Intime strikes again. Yeah, he just made it. They leave Vash to recover. NOW they take Leon to the hospital. On the way Leon's body goes into overload and 7 vertebrae have been cleanly broken. Arrmaduke goes with his friend
